All 3 layers are polypropylene. Masks are supposed to function better, gathering smaller than their rated particles, if they're made of dissimilar materials. This works because of static electricity. It's one of the reasons multi-layer masks are supposed to be superior to cloth masks. I guess not this one, this just relies on hole size.

OP you literally saved me hundreds of dollars! I just started a covid testing lab and I needed a bulk quantity of masks and everywhere I was looking they are over $1 a mask. I bought 30 cases. Thank you!
EDIT: Make that 60 cases. Seriously you have no idea how much you saved me, the 20 mask case are selling for $21 on Amazon!
LOL you may want to look into starting a different kind of business. You can easily find Genuine 3M N95 let alone KN95 masks like these for under a dollar a mask.
BYD Care is a trusted brand for masks, but these particular BYD masks only have 3 layers. KN95 masks usually have FIVE layers, even the generic ones. There are better BYD Care masks available, they may be more expensive, but you get what you pay for. I would avoid these and instead go for 3M N95 masks which are far superior and can be found for under a dollar a mask and can be re-used many, many times.

These say they are GB2626 which is a 5-layer design.
Someone in the comments section of this product said they cut one open and there was 5 layers.
If you look on the product page questions and answers section, in the very first question, a representative from BYD care said there are 3 layers.
So it says GB2626 which is 5 layer standard. Someone who bought them said they are 5 layer. And BYD says 3. Someone is wrong. Fortunately these have FREE RETURNS.

well if a BYD rep says there are 3, there are 3. If anything, you will get sellers lying and making their product look better than they actually are, so if they are doing the opposite, you can assume that is the truth. The reason why these are so cheap is that they only have 3 layers. You can even read what is says on the product description : "The mask consists of three layers of high quality nonwoven materials"

Costco. Once had their normal mask as well.
Also, these meet a very old standard, GB2626-2006, which was replaced last year by GB2626-2019.
Lastly, GB2626 is a 5-layer, not 3 layer, so there is that.
