Starting thread to throw up a bare bones Wiki. Needs a lot of additions to fill out, but if 4-5 people are willing to add to it, should be fairly complete without anyone needing to spend a lot of time on it.

Yes, feminine care is in short supply at Walgreens and CVS. I think *maybe* it is because it is now FSA eligible. Everybody bought fem care knowing they would need it. Children's Tylenol is almost impossible to find too.

Since at least last year in Calif they are also tax free. Going out now. Fully expecting to have to hit the third store distance-wise from me that generally is ignored by shoppers.

Read on er1ca's site that there are monthly beauty rewards that qualify for & count toward 10/30, both from
December Pop-arazzi pouf [cvs.com]
January Pop-zrazzi Sea Sponge [cvs.com]

They are bogo50. If I got a cheaper item that was part of the same bogo50, would they be $0 AC + 50% off cheaper item?
I have December CRT, pouf is 2.99 online. If I added a $1.99 item, would it be .99? I need about that much to finish 10/30 in my new scenario.
Quote from Sam.0 :
Since tweezers are 5.99 - 1dq = 4.99, $5 almay crt needs to be applied by the cashier. But they don't get the option on 1st total. Needs a scan and void of a random item, then 2nd total gave the green apply button to cashier.

Balm is 6.29-3dq=3.29 or 6.99-3dq=3.99. I stc the $4 revlon. On 1st total, $5 almay is not applying so $4 revlon didn't need to reduce. On 2nd total, $5 almay reduced to 4.99 (after apply) and $4 revlon reduced to 3.29 or 3.99 respectively (automatically).

Filler doesn't help because no item is getting 2 crts for O to apply. It is so much easier where tweezers are 6.29.
I think I understand about 80% of this and tysm for the info! I'll keep re-reading until I get it.
I guess I was overly simplistic by thinking my $5 Almay in grace would apply all $5 if I had filler(s).
Should have gone for the 6.49 eyelash curler, I guess...

Will this work...

3 Revlon Kiss Balms $5.79 each
-Free up to $5 item (reduced to $2.79)
-$4 Rev CRT (valid, not in grace)
-$3 DQ mfr
-$3 IP mfr
-$3 IP mfr

Pay $1.58

Or will the $4 CRT reduce down to make the second Balm free with mfr coupon like the FREE cosmetics item does?
At self-checkout, it will have to be done like this: Do not scan your card first!
Scan your 3 items, then MQ's
Hit the Return/Go Back
Scan card and then CRT

The thing I hate most about SC is that you have to be fast and ready. Any hesitation will cause something to get kicked out.

Thank you. I am usually ready (or think I am) but not fast. FWIW the IPs would not scan for me, I needed a manual entry. I ended up using just one since I wasnt sure what would happen and ECB-use-wise that worked out ok for me. Glad to know its possible if I become smoother at SCO though!

Yes, I knew I meant to post something I had not!

You could absolutely do the BOGO 50 with another poparazzi item that qualifies for the $30 get $10 deal and the BOGO50 offer.

Of interest, though, the all white pouf does not work with the December free CRT. So far, all the other colors have worked.

Used the paper q and once totalled the digital also applied. 0 OOP and then get $2ECB. Great deal. Only drawback is stock. My stores look like third world country stores. Empty, empty

As jcdc notes for another item, make sure to scan items first. Then scan the MQ and then go back to scan more and only then enter your card/phone number. That will trigger the DQ to come off taking the balance due to $0 + tax. And since Calif has no tax on these items, your self scan register may then tell you help is on the way. But you have a $2 MM at this point. Even better if c dot com $4/2 also is accepted. That is a maybe.

Can you please remind me if there is a special scanning order and if this can be done at SCO?

I'm sure this can be done at sco. It seems jcdc already explained the procedure. Just remember to scan the lower left area. You can also do this at register. After they scan your products, quickly hand over all coupons including ecbs that you plan on using in your transaction. The dq should apply automatically after they total everything. You can then ask for subtotal to make sure all your coupons went through.

The only thing I hate about printing ip from c.com is that it takes forever to scan. Worst case is that it either doesn't scan at all or it takes forever that both the cashier and I give up. If I print a coupon from a direct source, like softsoap, it scan easily. Also, all the kotex ip was gone on Monday Frown. I knew I should have printed it on Sunday. Oh well. A great deal for those who can get it Smilie

Thanks for explaining so nicely jcdc.
But every time I want to self-checkout with mfr coupons, something goes wrong, and the transaction has to be voided.
Today, I tried using maybelline printed coupons from c.com on lipsticks, but the register kept saying invalid item.
Is there any trick to scan those coupons?

The cashier then voided the transaction, and the same ones scanned nicely at the register.

Are you sure you scanned the barcode at the BOTTOM of the coupon? I now usually put my finger OVER the other code at the TOP of the coupon to make sure it doesn't accidentally get scanned.

But yes, the self check out has something go wrong almost all the time!

Hold onto them. Ask at another store. If you're not successful, hold onto them even longer and ask someone else. You never know when someone might take them or take them and issue replacement ecbs for you.

Years ago, when rules were tightened everywhere and they weren't taking anything expired anywhere, I held onto a $5 ecb almost a YEAR. One day I walked into a store way out of my normal range, told them I had this really expired ecb and she said they took them.
Sweet! That would be nice. So far 2 stores said no sorry.
After 1 year !
I have many many of them
I know I know, I should not be doing Cvs hunting rolling. 😁

Do I use a manufacturer's coupon with my free hair color coupon? Do they stack?

I'm full of questions this New Year. Does the $3 off cosmetics work on clearance cosmetics?

How do bogo items count? Like, how would the bogo cereal count towards the spend $30, get $10 extra bucks? And how would the bogo cereal or the bogo Lysol wipes count towards a threshold coupon?
I bought 2 loreal hair color yesterday. 2/$19... Used $5/2 (2) and $9 free HC crt. Paid tax $1.09.
