4k editions are not always made from the same master as the bluray version.
A 1080p bluray made from a superior master *can* be better than 4k from an inferior (tinkered with) master.

You could have the world's greatest greatest camera, but if you take a picture of a blurry picture it will still be blurry. The quality of the master is key
