I've ordered a few times from this company, but the most recent will be my last.

To keep it short, they sent me two consecutive emails telling me it would be up to 8 business days (second email after 8 business days, for a total of 16) for my item to ship out - I was actually fine with that because I ordered the item in November and just needed it before Christmas. Well, after 16 business days I decided to email and ask them the status of my order. Their reply?

Yep, that's it. That's all I got right before Christmas. No item for Christmas, no resolution, no customer service. Just "whoops, we farked up, see ya" 3 weeks later. For most, you'll most likely receive your item in a timely fashion like I did the first couple of times I ordered from them - and then sometimes you'll get left in the dark for a few weeks and they'll just cancel on you for absolutely no reason. If you're going to order from them and the order is taking a while, get on their case about it early and don't be patient like I was.
On the stuff I've been wanting, the price was increased, making the net sale price the same as every previous sale. 🤔
At the end of registration, it says to mail in a copy of your receipt. I followed other Ridgid/DTO threads and uploaded a copy of the receipt to my account and went on chat. Told chat about my pending registration and they approved it instantly as told by other slickdealers on previous threads.

The miter saw gravity style stand is finally under 100 and ships to home!!

I was interested in the same thing. That one or the non-gravity one for $70? Is there much of a size difference? Trying to clear up some floor space in my garage!

Any thoughts on the ridgid octane circular saw? YouTube reviews seem mediocre or fanboy…
It's fine for a circular saw. I enjoy having it when I need it. But I also own a miter saw, which suits me more often when needing to cut things.

Mine came with a thin kerf blade which is nice, and if you support the piece and hold the saw perfectly it cuts nice. But if the piece bends or your hold let's the saw twist (any binding) the saw won't attempt to power through it… it just shuts down and I have to release and repull the trigger to finish the cut. I've noticed the same thing with my Ridgid hammer drill when using long bits (running both on Octane batteries). In my previous decade with 18v ni-cad dewalt tools I've never experienced anything like it. With my Ridgid set I expect it at least 3 times an hour regardless of what tool I'm using.

Same. It feels and sounds wimpy compared to corded (and by feels, I mean the motor and blade, when it's running) but it's never bogged down on my. Ripping 2x4s and 3/4" plywood is the most taxing stuff I've done and I'm using the factory blade.

The closest Direct Tools to me is at a Tanger Outlets. Their coupon book preview lists a 20% off one item coupon at Direct Tools. Does anyone know if this stacks?

That gravity stand is gigantic. I'm all about the four folding leg stand. But I got a generic one that's even smaller than the ridgid. I snap the saw off of the stand for storage.

We do apologize it appears that the order is stuck and was unable to complete in the computer system and the order shows as being incomplete. We will cancel the order and refund as well. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.

Anyone know the instore return policy on reconditioned products? I've got one I'd like to return and replace for a different, larger item that is nOw less expensive than the smaller one I bought a week ago.

It is a significant improvement over the old saws. The 18v saw was the only real let down in Ridgid tools I have purchased over the years, but the Octane version is great.
