Glad I waited a week to buy this, definitely going to pick this up. Does anyone know if there's any reason to get this on Steam VR rather than Oculus?

My guess would graphics and mods but not confident on the latter.

No single player mode based on the comments on Steam. Anyone know the difference between buy this game on steam versus oculus stores?

The Oculus store Rift version is gonna look the same as the Steam version, so I'd recommend getting the Oculus version since it is cross buy for Rift and Quest. It's also cross play between all platforms.

There's not any legal mods for it.

Mostly you buy it on Steam if you don't want to be tied to Oculus. My son has it through Oculus. I have it through Steam. Graphics are very similar between the two with a 2060 GPU compared to a Quest2 headset.

If you only have a Quest2, it's way more convenient to buy it through Oculus. You can take your headset on vacation or to work and play it when you have spare time.

IMHO, This is the best (social) shooter VR game. You will get stomped for the first few months. It's fine. Have fun. There are some crazy good people in it so don't focus on winning. Squad up with some people you enjoy playing with and have a blast.

There are single player bot battles and they did solos as an event a few weeks ago, but it is really a team based game. You get assigned with two other players when you play or you can make friends in game over time and squad up. All ages play this game.
This is my favorite video game ever and I've played a lot over many years.

Good deal. I would buy this and Onward on sale if I didn't already have them. The Xmas sale was only 9% off on Population One, Onward, and Beat Saber. $76.49 for that bundle. If you bought this and Onward on sale now you'll save another $10 even buying Beat Saber for full price, which you will eventually no matter what.
