This is the stainless steel version. The case is more durable, the steel has a sleeker more polished look, and most importantly, the screen is made of sapphire, which is almost uncrackable. (The regular screen is a hardened glass, but still glass.)

The software is the same, so it depends on whether the above matters to you.

Still using series 3. The only meaningful features I use are notifications, weather and movement tracking. Is there a good reason to upgrade?
I doubt it. If you use it for those purposes, probably the same

I moved from an S4 to an s7 and love it. Screen size makes a huge difference plus blood ox sensor and ekg sensor are great too.

Interesting! I nabbed a Stainless Steel Series 4 from Best Buy for $400 2 years ago. I wasn't compelled enough by the S7 honestly. S4 has EKG sensor, but not Pulse Ox and the newer display of course. I think at this point I'll wait and see what the S8 brings. Congrats on your S7 Smilie.

The Apple Series 7 watch you linked to has an aluminum case. This watch on Walmart has a stainless steel case. It's a big price jump from aluminum to stainless steel. That is the main difference, besides cellular and color. Again, however, the difference is major.

You bought it for 250 but you think you're going to be able to sell it for more next year? Huh?

I moved to a stainless steel Apple Watch when I went to series 5. Have been wearing it for two years and there is not even a faint scratch on it. Its worth the price. Wish the graphite one was on sale so I could switch Wink

Are these unlocked? Or does it not matter for the carrier?
