Love the idea and would really like to give one a try, but for me, $50 would be about the absolute max I could justify for something like this. Eh, maybe someday theyll be another crazy deal and these will be twenty bucks from a price mistake or something!

Which Costco area? That's one thing I forget to look for at Costco.
Yeah what location? I called a few warehouses in the DFW area and it's the same price as online ($89.99)

A $20 insulated mug (I have a Thermos brand that I use daily) that will keep your coffee hot for hours and seals air-tight for travel seems like both the more practical and economic option. This reminds me of the ridiculous products you'd see in Sharper Image or Skymall catalogs and think "Huh, that's cool, but I'd never buy it."
do you like hot scalding coffee straight from your mug? or do you wait hours for it to cool first?

I strongly considred one of these. Even with tons of insulated mugs.
I would love if they would combine the two technologies. Insulated tumbler with heating element. My coffee actually in evaporates when left uncovered.

Does Costco pay for Front Page status ? Do advertisers on this site automatically get it?

Yeah, I'd rather just blow more money on one of my vacations than buy this dumb thing.

Isn't it cheaper to make another cup or use one of the cheaper heaters, $100 after tax price seems ridiculous to me.
$.24 per K cup for Kirkland organic or something like that

I wouldn't mind splurging on this as it would be something I use daily, however the battery is inevitably going to die and it cannot be replaced so I'm going to pass.
