4x8GB gives you dual channel AND dual rank for around a 5-10% performance gain in Ryzen systems. Crucial's 2x16GB kit is not dual rank and is 5-10% slower.

So 4x8 is faster for this particular kit of RAM.

Just curious, would I notice ANY differences during gaming between DDR-3200 and DDR-3600?

Also, if you are looking to get in on the 32GB (2x16 sticks) deal, Crucial is sold out. Their site refers you to Amazon (currently $160) and Newegg (currently $200). These are the only retailers who currently have stock.

If you need 32gb, chances are you have a good reason for it instead of just gaming. That means an even higher chance that you will want 64gb sooner than later. You're better off getting a 16x2 now to leave yourself an option to add more later on.

Be careful. It seems like crucial may be shipping single rank for the 2x8GB kits under the same part number.

I just ordered it from Amazon two days ago and got single rank instead of dual rank.

Depends on your CPU. Intel likes to run on RAM thats I'm sync with it's CPU, and AMD benefits from faster RAM.

The Dell 7060 won't run the ram at 3200, but they suggest other 3200 ram in the compatible list... None of what they recommend has heat spreaders. Perhaps the heat spreaders are too big for the Small Form Factor version.

The easiest way is to download the crucial scanner and run it on your computer to see which memory it recommends. My Dell XPS 8910 also uses DDR4 memory and I thought this one should work, but the scanner says no it won't. My best guess is it has to do with memory voltage, mine uses 1.2 volts but this memory is 1.35 volts

I'll take a stab: because they don't work in an optiplex 7060. See if they did work in an optiplex 7060, they would say they work, but since they don't work in an optiplex 7060, they state they don't work in an optiplex 7060. This most likely has to do with compatibility, if this was compatible with the optiplex 7060, it would work, and they would say it would work, but if it is not compatible with the optiplex 7060, they won't work, and therefore they say it won't work.

Is this good ram for new Intel build? I understand the CPU will limit to default frequency, such as i3-10100 would have to go down to 2666, correct?
