Coca-Cola.com Offers FAQ, (Formerly My Coke Rewards [MCR]):

There is no specific end date for the program.

Each particular Coke promotion may have its own activity clause.

Barq's, Coke, Coke Zero, Dasani, Diet Coke, Fanta, Fresca, Mellow Yellow, Minute Maid Lemonade, Pibb, Sprite, Seagram's, Tab. (Powerade & Zero & Minute Maid Juices in the big black caps no longer have UTC codes.)

- Values:
Point values per code are no more, All codes are equal value, but check promotion. Check packaging for a MyCokeRewards Label! Not all Coke packages have the MCR logo, (i.e. 6-pack w/glass bottles).
However, in Coke's Give Program to schools, codes still have different values to school donations, see wiki below!

- List of Accepted MCR Letter & Number Code Characters & Character Substition

There are 25 total characters, (letters or numbers only), that are accepted in 14-character MCR codes, (out of 36 available, A-Z, and 1-0). Five of the characters may also be input as substitutions for other similar-looking characters. Either upper- or lower-case letters are accepted. The available characters are:

Letters: B F H J K L M N P R T V W X (No C D E G* I O* Q S* U* Y Z)
Numbers: 4 5 6 7 9 0 (No 1 2 3 8*)

* The five accepted substitute characters for similar-looking characters:
  • B = 8
  • V = U
  • 5 = S
  • 6 = G
  • 0 = O (Zero, '0', is the officially accepted character according to MCR error messages; letter 'O' is the substitute.)

- ask friends/family/neighbors/co-workers to save
- dumpster diving
- jumping out of cars upon seeing flaps on the side of the road
- referring a friend on the site
- ask Maids to save for those who travel
- ask recycling centers to save
- purchase on eBay
- sporting events, zoos, parks, etc
- make trades
- become buddies with vending machine stockers

I haven't gotten that yet ... because often I'm blocked at the "we think you're a bot" screen! I wonder if this will be a one-time thing, or whether this sort of 2FA will become standard -- needing to do the phone verification every 1-2 weeks. (MCR is "rewarding" enough that I'd do it, at least for a little while; if, say, the Pepsi program tried that I'd abandon it immediately.)

Just saw this today. I know some people that use landline on their accounts, I use a cheap back up prepaid phone for our family accounts. If someone did not wanrt to use a personal cell I would try setting up a google voice number which gets texts and see if that works.

I used an old free extra line I have with my mobile provider, but the google voice sounds interesting. I noticed also that whenever you logout you have to do it every single time you login. I just wonder what they will do for the groups that don't have texting capabilities or even teenagers that don't have phones as I know not many people want to give out their private family number. Site is turning more and more into Facebook than a rewards site. First that "Fraud" thing was a nightmare to get rid of until I changed my browser now dealing with this crap, hopefully they will get rid of it if too many people complain.

If you are still needing a Coke or Sprite fix, Dollar General has 3 for $10 currently (thread here). This is better than the Target deal, but more restricted as far as what sodas you can get. HTH!

Yowzer, every single time? That _is_ a pain! I assume I understand why mcr took this step -- the botting thing -- and I assume it wasn't taken lightly, but this approaches a nuisance-level response. I hope this is a phase, and that they'll do away w/ it.

It is really annoying, but if they start offering good prizes and this slows down or removes bot armies I can work with it. It would be really nice if they added an option to use the Coke app as a second level validation similar to other companies. Basically, when logging into a Coke related website you get a prompt via the Coke app logged in with the same account requiring you to tap YES to proceed. They could always leave the text message as an alternative for those that don't use the app.

Another good option would be to send a verification message to your email where you manually have to enter a code in order to login or choose a text option as an alternative which would cut back the automated logins. The last game was pretty much coke's fault and an invitation for disaster as it was just a button to click. A good feature for future games to stop the armies would be cap code entry to play a game or an amoe method where you have to click a link or enter a code to activate your gameplay by email like the Starbucks games had if anyone played. Just hope the next game they release for AMC everyone can be a winner, not like this disaster.

I only have one old cell phone that I use for backup if I misplace my other cell phone. Does Coke allow more than one member of the family to use the same telephone number for verification purposes or do the other family members have to use another telephone number for the verification text ?

Yup the every single time thing is getting annoying and the chances of winning feels even slimmer lol. I guess I'm just going by the fact that I have won more IW before the change than after the change.

I think once a AMC promo comes around, you'll have this verification thing to thank for winning prizes, as it was nigh impossible to win AMC prizes during the last promo where we all know there was some major bot fraud going on. I'd rather have the choice of small nuisance and winning with some decent probability over entering ad nauseam daily to losing screens. Not to mention you can win your AMC prize and just be done with the promo if it's only one win/account rather than returning every day...it's a major time savings.

We don't have AMC, so I guess when it does come around if there aren't other prizes I probably wouldn't be participating. But I guess if it helps others, it's okay. Peace

It's not one win per account. My wife and I have both won two prizes so far. The cell phone thing popped up for us today, and I don't have a cell phone, Got rid of mine around 2005, and I don't want one now.

We both used her phone to get a code, and it worked. What's the point of the code then? There should be an alternative method. Or it should just remember my PC, like every other website out there.
