I feel like there needs to be a sequel; since, the question of why the engineers wanted to destroy Earth was never answered.

This is one of the most gorgeous looking, well shot movies in the history of film, topped off with a phenomenal performance by Michael Fassbinder who literally steals every scene he's in.

And thus ends everything nice I have to say about the movie.

the movie I'm going to go out in a limb and guess here, is probably the story of Prometheus, who at the end basically sacrifices himself by spreading his DNA into the earth in hopes it would become "life". Prometheus is also known as the light bringer. another name is Lucifer. there is debate about the true evil nature of Lucifer in the sense that God wanted to keep humans trapped, wallowing in their ignorance while he wanted to see them reach their full, albeit hedonistic, potential. or also like this excerpt says "Lucifer not as the devil, but as a destroyer, a guardian, liberator,[1] light bringer or guiding spirit to darkness,[2] or even the true god as opposed to Jehovah." he gave man the gift of fire (hence light bringer, truth illuminator, knowledge dispenser, etc) against gods wishes, who was said to shun him from the heavens. now, granted, I haven't seen this movie basically since it came out but knowing what I think I know about who Prometheus is, would you say the scientist are God maybe? wanting to destroy earth? this all can be taken a step further and place god and lucifer on a level, physical playing field. in this less lop-sided scenario (one isn't a magical sky being), it is more along the lines of the annunaki and two opposing factions of aliens, one who wanted to continue to enslave humans on earth, toiling underground for gold, which is in all reality an ugly, soft, malleable metal. and the other who realized we are conscious, sentient beings or whatever and wanted to basically set us free to be. perhaps this can explain the Indian texts describing aircraft battles in the sky, or the German tapestry that visually depicts it. could the scientists be one of the warring factions? why do we have this innate attachment to gold it seems? the answer may surprise you and sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction but my point is there may not be a real need for a sequel, the answer is probably in there somewhere.

Just finished season one of Raised by Wolves. WTF did I just watch. Raised by Wolves is basically another Prometheus story but based in a "cousin" universe. Ridley Scott calls it a cousin of the series.

It shows how far Ridley Scott is willing to take things without anyone saying "No".

It's really one of those shows that you say, 'nobody should watch this nonsense', but then at the same time you feel 'everyone needs to see how insane this gets'.
Loved Raised by Wolves. 77% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I see no correlation between that series and Aliens other than the robot "milk blood". Season 2 coming out February 3rd!

Well, I think a lot of people switched their tune to WTF on the final episode of season 1. Ratings went from around 8/10 to 6/10 on that final episode.

But yeah, I'll watch the second season. I'm okay with continuing to watch this level of wtf because it's pretty insane. I'd probably not recommend anyone not invested into it to watch it, though. If you got here, though, continue, I guess. I will.
