T-Mobile will offer their famous insider hookup 20% off for life promo to existing customers starting January 6th.

Existing customers who are not on Magenta MAX will need to switch to the MAX plan and can then redeem a code for 20% off all voice lines on the account.

Existing Magenta MAX customers can simply redeem a code once available.

Employees will receive 1 code for new customers (port-in from competitor to new account) and 1 code for existing customers. If you know someone that works for T-Mobile, be sure to ask them for one!

Sucks that they're making people switch to max to get the discount now. every situation is different, but for me switching to max is still like 6X the cost of the same lines I currently have on Magenta...even with the 20% off. for a lot of people, I think the MAX requirement negates a lot of the savings that used to be possible. I could be wrong...

When I got my code and switched to tMo last year, I got it from Reddit. I think Reddit or eBay is probably the way to go when you're looking for a code rather than begging here.

I'm paying $167.25 for 9 lines with Simple Choice Plus. It would take me 4 consecutive years of getting 20% off to make it worthwhile to switch.

I'm confused as to why T-Mobile offers this at all, let alone as a perk to employees who aren't personally gaining anything from it.
