Corsair changing to poor chip dies.
Corsair had changed the die from Hynix to Micron and the orientation was changed from 2 rank to 1 rank. This change has caused the RAM not to hit 3200 because the chip type in which they switched to is of poor quality. I wouldn't suggest buying from Corsair as long as they continue to use cheaper quality chips that cannot hit the advertised speed.

I currently have two sticks of BLS16G4D32AESB.M16FE [amazon.com] that are CL 16. I'm assuming I can't keep them and just add another two of this since the timings are different? I'm not super knowledgeable in this...

edit: just asking in general - might pass on these sticks. I'm guessing the best option is to just sell the two I have and buy four when I'm ready.

From what I remember, and someone can correct me on this, as long as the ram in the paired slots are similar and all 4 can reach the same clock speeds it'll be fine. Best plan of course is just getting all the same exact sticks of ram that are all on your mobo's QVL.

Its Samsung C and Micron B/E dies from what I see. I wouldn't say poor. Hynix is perceived as the worse for DDR4 OC. Hynix also puts more stress on IMCs, especially in DR config.

The micron variants are the same chips that Crucil Ballistix kits have, just binned slightly lower on middle timings to make it easier to bin in Samsung C. (Which is one of the worse on DDR4 OC)

Everyone wants DDR5 for new socket 1700 builds now so the DDR4 prices drop?

I actually have an old pair of these (same capacity and rating) that are dual rank Samsung B-Die that OC to 4166 c17. Not the best B Die, but better than most chips. Pretty sure they're not going to be doing those anymore, but it's a good way to get fast RAM for cheap (if you don't mind squinting at fuzzy eBay pics of RAM serial labels)
