I've been running one of these for my desktop setup for the past two years with two desktop speakers and a 10" subwoofer, except mine is the older 50w x 2 unit, otherwise looks identical. It's been solid and sounds great.

Wired to my Surface using an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm DAC adapter.

I had one of these and sent it back. Not noticably better than my Lepai amp, though it does look a little nicer.

Actually this one has many more input options than what you already have. I love my 50w unit I have it hooked to some decent bookshelf speaker and it sound crispy!! I highflying recommend this product as this price. Would be event better if it had Chromecast cast built in :-)

Breaker Broke 23 reviewed this on Youtube and liked it but said he could hear music playing inside it when he didn't have speakers attached to it. LINK [youtube.com]

Many praise the Aiyima A07, A08, D03 and Fosi BT20A, BT20A-S and BT10A.
The cheapaudioman says the Aiyima A07 has AptX but I can't find confirmation of that. I trust him.
He rates the Aiyima A07 as his favorite/best sounding mini-amp.

The Aiyima A07 lacks BT but you could add the Aiymia T8 BT pre-amp or a dongle.
The Aiyima T8 has AptX and a remote control and a DAC.

The Aiymia A08 has BT and AptX-HD.

The Aiymia D03 has BT and AptX and a remote control.

The links below cover speakers too but they go over the amps I've mentioned.

Don't trust 100w rating. It is most likely 100w into 2ohms and 20w-30w into 8 ohms. These companies are deceptive.

Update:
Real watts:
2 × 50 W Into a 4-Ω BTL Load at 21 V (TPA3116D2)
2 × 30 W Into a 8-Ω BTL Load at 24 V (TPA3118D2)
2 × 15 W Into a 8-Ω BTL Load at 15 V (TPA3130D2)

24V x 4A = 96 watts / 2 =48 watts/channel.

This is most likely correct. I have this and it definitely cannot run my JBL speakers very loudly. To be fair, the speaker sensitivity is on the lower side, but still. Have it hooked up via optical, though and it sounds nice... and is loud enough.

Anyone know if they make something like this but able to control it via an app on your phone? I have some (3) garage ceiling speakers that route to an AV closet in the house, and was trying to not go the full huge receiver route if possible. This thing would be perfect if I could control it from the garage with my phone.

I have this [amazon.com]- at 50w and is tiny and cheaper than what's shown here and use it to drive some old bookshelf speakers in the garage. I think I paid ~$28 for it.

It hangs on the wall next to a wall-mounted power strip so it's handy just to go out in the garage, flip on the power strip switch and turn on BT on my phone, and do whatever I'm out there to do - car repair, waxing, just tinkering - I dont need any 'app' to drive it - I just stream music through it and it's pretty idiot-proof.

In your situation, it would rewiring your garage speakers and letting them (just?) connect to this device and not your receiver - not sure if you're up for that.

Per Killawatt, it pulls 35 watts from the wall. These are only as good as the bricks (power adapter) they come with. You could buy these at half price if you have an old laptop brick laying around and know how to wire it up. Make sure to read the 1-3 star reviews. Many die in a month or so. A cheap extended warranty isn't a bad idea. These have been bench tested many times and show 10 to 22 watts per channel, full bandwidth, 8 ohms, at under 1% THD. That's not bad, but you really want efficient speakers with these or you will cook your board.

I have three of these, one of them is the earlier version that didn't have the three-way switch to choose input. Just an on and off switch. All three have been great running a variety of bookshelf speakers in the $60-300 range. I bought mine at $60, $42, and then the last one for $24 on eBay.

I think they are a great way to set up desktop speakers or a smaller entertainment center without having to resort to a soundbar or live with TV sound. The sub out works great and is one big feature that many of the alternatives in this price range just don't have.

Probably not the best processing for a real hardcore audiophile, but I have even run some KEF Q150's on this thing and they sounded pretty great and had no hardware failures a couple of years in.

Absolutely not going to be audiophile quality, and also not going to provide that full rated power.
However if you need a cheap portable amp solution with inputs and outputs, it works great.

I have had one running my desktop setup for a couple years now and it was one of the few devices that had a subwoofer output, so I run a little 2.1 setup in my office that is 10x better than any purpose built "computer speakers" and downsized from a full sized AVR that was taking up half my desk.

I enjoy having an analog knob to change volume rather than rely on any computer settings, so if somebody is quiet on a call or something I just turn the volume up.

I already have a spare one in the closet from last time they went on sale, else I would pick up one on this deal. And I think mine was only a 50w version not 100w.

I have one of these and it's total garbage. I tested sound quality between this and Yamaha entry level AVR, it's a night and day for 2 channel setup

Using 2 older iPad minis to receive local radio (KUTX 98.9) from router and 1/8 inch into Creative portable speakers on patio and into pioneer 626 from 40 years ago into kenwood 777s also 40 years old in the garage. Navy exchange in Japan carried some good stuff. All are loud enough for the neighbors. Have to keep stereo at 3 or less. The kenwoods can speak across the valley 2 acres away. Still rocking in the the free world.

If I didn't have so much cool unbroken stuff this might be fun. My wired Lepai can pump it out though too old for WiFi.

Maybe like me.

Bet this works well in diy rv build.
