While there are many upcoming SSDs in Q2 2022 that seems to be a lot faster than current general 2230 SSDs, the current Toshiba(kioxia) 256GB is spec'ed faster than the Western Digital SN530 while the 512GB, the Western Digital is faster.

I get it that Windows OS and the form factor are important to many people. But is that worth a $300 premium? I thought it used to work the other way around. Not to mention that most people probably use it with a type cover i.e. as a laptop anyway.

I've recently used my Tab S7 with kb as my laptop+tablet with Dex. Since my laptop is sent back for warranty. It is actually doable but the screen is too small IMO (11"). This screen being 12" and 4:3 will be much more roomy. I always wish I had got the Tab S7+ instead, as it is a much bigger 12" screen than the vanilla S7. Of course more expensive too.
Rather than buying a separate 500 laptop and 500 tablet if you dont need two devices and can get one for around 600 (including keyboard is the tricky part) you save. However you will either get a subpar laptop experience with Android/Dex or subpar tablet experience with Windows/Chrome. However if you do not care too much and mostly only websurf as I do, may not be a problem. In conclusion being 600 all in with 8GB RAM, the core i3 (plenty for light duty) and the kb this is very intriguing, but not for me since i already have a tablet and laptop separately.
