Such a classic. I remember riding home at night through downtown Chicago after seeing this at my grandparents house terrified that Jaws was going to somehow jump out of the concrete and eat me and my family

I bought this a while back for about the same price and watched it for the first time ever in 4k, absolutely gorgeous! Fun movie, great deal!

Unpopular thought here - if you like film grain, transfer is probably amazing. Certain scenes are almost distracting though because of how heavy it is for someone that's leans on the slightly anti-side of neutral on the topic. I'd rather a DVD quality image (not crispy, but usually grain-free) with Atmos/DTS:X than this level of grain. That said, I do think what HDR they used and the scenes without grain makes it worth it.

I bought it full price when it first was rereleased. Obviously I wish I saved the $10+, but I'm not regretting my purchase. I look forward to when my 3 and 6 year olds are old enough to enjoy these 70s/80s classics with modern improvements I didn't have the first time I saw them.

I know it came out way later, but I still think the original Jurassic Park trilogy is the standard any blockbuster 4k remaster should be held to and anything less is disappointing. I believe those were 35 mm scans though so not all moves can. The DTS:X on it is amazing though.

Some recent reviews are showing that the digital code expired last summer.

I can't say for certain about this movie, but I know I've had many other digital codes that supposedly expired years ago that still worked when I redeemed them.

Also, if you have the option to redeem the codes on iTunes that is probably the best way to do it. I've had some expired digital HD movies that I've gotten from Blu-rays I bought at Dollar Tree that redeemed in 4K on iTunes.

Try redeeming at https://apps.apple.com/redeem (Apple iTunes) or https://moviesanywhere.com/redeem (Movies Anywhere)

I had this same exact fear except that he was going to crash through the floor in my parents' home. I'm still not sure I wouldn't have that irrational fear if I were to rewatch it today...

It's funny how this movie is rated PG. It would probably be close to a PG-13 rating nowadays. A time before PG-13 existed. Smilie
