I picked this up on the last deal and the only real issue is the 300w limit, while it is really nice at powering smaller items it's just not quite enough for most people (mostly Me).

It seems you really need at least a 500w to power most of the things these things are designed to be used for. And 700w to 1000w is the real sweet spot. All these will cost you around $500 (bluetti) to $800 (EcoFlo). The price of the more powerful ones brings you to the decision is this worth it over a normal Gas/ Propane Inverter Generator.

Truth is I ended up getting both this golabs and the Sportsman 1000 inverter generator along with a 120w portable solar panel for my camping setup.

All that said this Golabs is worth the sale price, but don't be too disappointed when you find its limitations
After 30d of storage my unit shows it's still holding a 94-97% charge, and I have a monthly reminder set on my calendar to top it off so that I'm never looking at a depleted battery.

I have read but cannot confirm that a discharge/recharge cycle is preferable for long-term capacity retention for LiFePO4 chemistry, but having had this exact unit for a year (and it's 200W little brother in my trunk) I haven't noticed any reported degradation from doing only the monthly top-up.

Edited to Add: Here's a maintenance cut/paste I just found (linky: http://www.craggyaero.com/lifepo4_battery1.htm)

LiFePO4 Battery Maintenance
- Fully charge the battery for the first time.
- The battery reaches its max capacity after fully charged and discharged 3 to 5 times.
- To prolong battery life cycle and soon after discharge to a low level charge battery. Leaving a battery in a deficient state may affect battery life.
- If a battery will not be used for a long time, keep it at approx 1/2 capacity and charge every two months for 1 hour.
- Store batteries at a temperature of 5C to 40C. in a clean dry environment.
Nice but such a tiny capacity.

Still active right now. You've got to actually put that coupon code in at checkout. Get on it!

That being said, to answer your question - I know, right? Ditto.

I want one but I don't see myself using it. There's rarely any power outtages where I live. I don't go camping. I can't seem to justify purchasing this. Im trying to think of ways I could use this. It looks like a pretty sweet deal though.
