Better to just get $10 less in cash from GS than tying my money up in gift cards
What carrier do you use for gamestop trade in?

Thanks for the details.

My question to you is. What is your end goal or planning to achieve when you jumped on to this deal?
I plan to trade in 3 and keep 1 as backup phone. 4th order one was the accident, I thought the AppleCare was so good. Turned out Apple warranty was denied.

Hi guys,

Got my XR today and it looks great. Was worried since it was originally activated on Jan 1, 2021 and warranty expired on Jan 1, 2022 :-( . Was about to refuse shipment. However, curiosity got the better of me :-)

That above said, the phone looks clean without any visible imperfections. Checked Truetone and Face ID are working as expected.

I am charging at this time and plan to make the IoS update tonight along with activating the SIM card(on TotalWireless.com site).

Will check more, however, it looks a like a good buy. Dont plan to dig too deep though!

Thanks a bunch, OP Wisegoat 2914, and everyone on this thread.

Got mine today--looks brand new, updated to iOS 15 and everything with the phone itself looks good.

SIM was pre-installed, but it looks like with no 1 month of service on the SIM. I've run into this with Tracfone BYOD kits. Support via Chat couldn't do anything and I'm supposedly getting a call back "soon".

Your receipt shows you paid for the required TW 30 day plan. If it won't activate they didn't preload. Did you activate on a new TW account or your TF account? TW 30 day plan won't add anything for TF account.

Wanna know too, and was it a quick and easy process? We get cash back?

Did you follow the activation link they emailed and go through the steps to activate it there or just go through the phone?

Good luck and buyer beware to anyone who actually wants to activate their phone on TW. We purchased 2 phones on Black Friday. Not only did they ship almost a month late, we haven't been able to activate them. TW customer service is absolute garbage. I've been using MVNO's and prepaid service for over a decade... by far this is the worst experience I've had. The only value I can see in these purchases is for trade in purpose.

TW is fine... I've had issues activating multiple phones over the years. Each phone needs a unique SIM though

Received an iPhone XR with a couple very faint purple spots on screen. Anyone knows if that will be an issue for tradein in future (e.g. Sprint/Tmobile) ??

Each of the phones I am trying to port my number into on has a unique sim, these were brand new in box TW phones... plus one more that's an unlocked BYOP with a brand new TW SIM card. Their customer service is not reliable. 5 hours and no resolution.
