Thanks for the update. This makes it sound like the cost of an unlocked XR just went up by $25 correct?
Looks like I know the terms say 60 days but the rep on phone said pls ensure active service . He only told system shows 3/1 but not sure if he saw anything on if it pointed of active service or if he just advised out of his will … those willing to take the waiting game will have to feedback . I will anyway keep my service longer as I do have some referral bonus points worth $80 of free service which I need to be active 60 days . So either way will continue with TW and believe it should be useful to unlock per the system

Beware … that YouTube link appears to be someone shilling a $6 card for $30.

Check out these recommendations by Appleguy or Gibsonbass for similar working products under $10 …

I have a TW XR that I was gone flip for either a free Pixel 6 or Iphone 13 with Sprint, but my XR is missing the LDI. Debating if I should do the upgrade, mail in the XR, and take my chances. It definitely would suck if the XR got rejected.
Don't think XR had one. Check this post out https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...indicator/

Thanks for the update. My post originally linked to two back-to-back posts by Appleguy and Gibsonbass with two different recommendations, but now it looks like Appleguy's post is gone. I wonder if the shills trying to sell $30 cards are trying to flag the links to the $6 cards.

for use with which carrier? Sprint was a no-go. they said it wasnt unlocked by the original carrier so they couldnt activate. My phone reads 'No Sim restrictions' too
In a similar situation, SIM from another iPhone works but from another Samsung device does not work.

Just got mine, just curious, it came with a sticker on saying "charge at least 5 hours before using"
But I thought lithium ion batteries don't have to charge before use?

True, but a full charge followed by running the phone to complete battery drain will help the phone calibrate correctly and give you a more accurate battery charge indicator. Most of these phones have probably had their batteries replaced and the rest have been completely reset with respect to battery status.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3972148

"do i need to charge my iphone before using it

No, there is no need to charge it first. Unless, of course, it doesn't have any charge on it. With lithium ion batteries, there's no need to fully charge them before use, drain them completely or any of the things one needed to do with older types of batteries.

Apple does recommend letting the device drain until it turns itself off once month and then fully charge. However, that's just to calibrate the battery sensor, making the indicator more accurate. It doesn't affect the life of the battery."

Bullshit one turbo sim can unlock unlimited phones don't go by the eBay listing. I was confused and was about to buy multiples too…

Yes, the account holder needs to be present and hand over the DL during trade in process at Best Buy. In Best Buy, they are checking IMEI from i button in home screen and they never checked the model number.
It may be YMMV…

My wife has T-Mobile account and I placed pickup order and I went to store and trade in the device and brought new device. They didn't need T-Mobile account details to trade in device. They just check identity of the Pickup person.

Tried trade-in at Tmobile today. Seems like my XR was missing the water damage indicator in the SIM card slot, indicative of a changed screen.

What should I do with the phone? Pay shipping and return or try somewhere else? Thanks.
Pulled this straight from T-mobile website.

"iPhone® X and above do not have a visible LDI. If you cannot identify your LDI on an iPhone X or above, we ask you to confirm the device has not been exposed to liquid."

The LDI indicator is there in the sim slot, but it's very hard to make out and see. So T-mobile store should be taking your word there is no water damage.
