I guess mine was 40V and it was seriously underpower it hardly cuts any grass taller than 2" plus the battery wouldn't last till I complete the lawn and note that my lawn is normal Texas lawn probably 10-12K sft area
Since this is 80V I guess it has enough power to cut the grass.
Not sure on battery life.
My recommendation is to get extra batteries. If that needs it for the last one quarter of the lawn and the run out of battery.

As far as the deal goes...meh...last year they had the 60V SP version for $159 with a 5Ah battery and charger. The mowers are identical except for the battery platform (bought one for my GF).

My battery and charger are from 2015 still too, for sake of longevity.

I'm looking to get this John Deere 190 rider out of my garage. Was awesome when I had an acre to mow. Not the 15k sqft. Thank you!
I found it had enough power even for taller grass. If mowing taller grass, you should use the side discharge so it cuts and ejects the grass quickly. Don't try to "mulch" as that is only for frequent routine mowing. The same would be true of a gas mower. This is a very solid machine compared to a lower-end 40V 16" cut one I bought on clearance before.
Of course you need batteries and a charger, so this ideal is for those that already have at least one or two batteries and charger. Sometimes Amazon or others have promo deals bundled with a battery + charger. There were some Greenworks promo deals last year for 2-packs of batteries, so I bought a pair of 4AH batteries which will be plenty to run this thing for longer if I really want. Of course the 2 pack of those batteries cost about the same as this mower deal, and that was a good sale price....

Don't forget if you're in socal ( or other areas with battery mower upgrade rebates ), apply for your $200 rebate! Buy a $20 used gas mower on Craigslist if needed.
