It is definitely possible to have a 5.1.2. You can go up to 5.2.2. However If you use all your 7 channels, (5 main speakers and 2 ceiling speakers in your case), it may have lot of load on your receiver as you are almost using all the channels. It will still get the job done. But if I were you, I would buy a Emotica Amplifier (two channel one) along with this receiver and connect either my Atmos speakers(In ceiling ones) or Front speakers to that Amplifier so that way I have a better quality of sound overall.

Currently I have a slimline Marantz NR1609 which is just a 50W slimline receiver but it is plenty loud for a small apartment even with the inefficient ELAC Unifi speakers under a 5.1 setup. It can only do 4K at 30FPS which is fine as only PS5 would utilize the 60FPS IMO.
FYI this 75W will give you pretty good loudness. If you go with a 100W receiver that would only get you another dB or two of perceived louder volume. Remember watt to loudness ratio is logarithmic. Now if you go with 90dB+ sensitive set of speakers, you will see much bigger difference in loudness.
AVR companies need to modernize the display LCDs btw. Every single one looks tiny or ugly, minus slimline Marantz and new Anthem models.
Specifically, do they both max out at 40gbps,, and how do their room calibration systems compare?

PS while it seems to become available online once a month, many stores have it in stock. When I decided a week ago that I will get this to replace my 13 year old Yamaha I walked into my local Costco and they had at least a dozen units sitting on a shelf.
I am no audiophile but for most people this one is MORE than enough. It integrates with both Google Home and Alexa, except that the GH integration is pathetic, like almost all GH integrations. All you can do is turn the receiver on and off. You can switch channels, set volume, play streaming media fairly flexibly with Alexa. I am running a mix of GH and Alexa in my house and am pretty close to sending all the GH units to ewaste.
Agree with whoever wrote that all the AVR makers need to modernize their LCD displays. Dot matrix in 2022? Really? And don't get me started with the appearance of the OSD. Hey <any AVR maker>, the 90s called and want their software back.
