It was online for a minute - my stores don't have 'em either. I'd recommend to keep an open internet tab and keep refreshing. I scored some at 7:00am EST on Monday and just now at 9:45am EST.

Yesterday, all of the Walmarts in my area were showing stock. (They are OOS again now.) The local Walmart actually called me and asked if I'd like one of the web orders filled that I had placed on 12/31 and the system had canceled. That was nice of them.

Unless you NEED it now, after January 15, you'll be able to get reimbursed for your purchase.

False positives.
False negatives.
Useless for travel via plane.
SMH.
I've used them and both times it read positive a followup lab test confirmed the positive result. I decided to get followup tests in the beginning because I too heard about bad results. A lot of the outcome depends on the user closely following the directions. I'm a pro now so I trust these results.

CNET did a great test comparative at https://www.zdnet.com/article/cov...test-kits/

Combining that with Dr. Sanjay Gupta's interview with Joe Rogan where they basically both agreed that the home antigen tests test whether you're contagious and the PCR test tests whether you actually have it.

Basically, BinaxNows don't appear to give false positives at the sake of an additional small percentage of false negatives (again contagiousness wise). That's why they have always come in 2 packs. If you read the actual directions, they say to take both tests a couple days apart. In fact, I tested negative, woke up the next morning feeling more like crap and then tested positive. A PCR test confirmed the positive result.

And for those "annoyed" they don't work for most official uses like air travel or concerts, it makes me laugh. If those are allowed, what would be next? Home breathalyzers and drug tests being allowed to confirm people are following their probation.

Edit: And don't get me started on the number of people I know / have seen that are 100% adamant they don't have it so they half-ass the test. I scratch the hell out of the inside of the nose to make sure any/all Covid material is grabbed.

Bought 3 last week for free shipping only to read this 2 days later. Kicker is they're not arriving until the 15th, $45 down the drain I guess, but wife has the VID, need to test when she's not contagious

That's a very poor logic right there: comparing consequence of a criminal behavior to getting sick in worldwide pandemic. Fake news do that A LOT!

LOL. No, I'm comparing people trying to avoid being tested properly to people....trying to avoid being tested properly.

I love how every time someone manages to buy a test, they feel the need to start a new thread.

Might not be in stock then, I bought a few kits even knowing they would be forced to reimburse. Small amount to ensure I can test when needed at home.

I got a faint positive, PCR confirmed it Frown.

I agree. Myself and family have had pretty good results with these kits (verified by 2nd PCR test). They work best if you: a) have some symptoms, and b) follow the instructions precisely.
