Expiration date YMMV -- OP's had to be used by 1/14, and others who redeemed later have later expiration dates

Have heard they are nice, they do look good from what I see.

My husband has been wearing allbirds for about a year and a half and swears he is a customer for life. I just got my first pair during black Friday sale and I'm very pleased with the comfort so far. I got the wool mizzles ones that are less breathable and more for warmth and water resistance.

Have had the same pair of wool runners for 8 years. I wear them traveling too and for long walks for miles. Not as firm as they were when I got them but they still hold up their shape and are super comfortable.

If you're on your feet all day and wear shitty flat vans or something these, or the runners, will feel light years better — they feel strange for the first 2 days but then feel great. I swap between the two in retail and really like them. I think Allbirds are best for replacing casual shoes (Vans, Nikes, etc.) but don't hold a candle to real running shoes (Hoka's, Brooks, etc). If you look at them in that frame they are great, if you look at them as an alternative to the Clifton 7's you wear 12 hours a day as an ED Nurse then they're going to disappoint.
Also really like the companies efforts for sustainability, I acknowledge thats part of the reason the price tags high + 30 day return policy even worn, if they've been worn they donate them to a legit foundation. I appreciate this type of stuff and am happy to support them.
I own 6 pairs now my feet have always been sweaty they are the only shoes I buy the wool runners are my favorite super comfy naturally water resistant sweat doesn't build up and stay warm in the colder time
How do the tree versions compare? Still soft and comfortable even for wearing without socks?
