"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"
SIM options
Tracfone: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
Total Wireless: Verizon
Simple Mobile: T-Mobile
Net10: ATT(now removed), T-Mo, Verizon
Pageplus: Verizon
Walmart Family Mobile: T-Mo
Straight Talk: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
I've been doing this a while and know the ins and outs of TFW. Verizon may or may not force all brands to their network at some point. They also may consolidate the brands, but that's the rundown.

I did that with last year's iPhone SE (2020) deal. I do not recall if I had to pay return shipping (I probably did), but there was no restocking fee and they eventually refunded the unused/unactivated airtime card.
A bit of effort, but maybe worth it to you to get the phone you really want...
XR = Refurb, 11 = New w/ 1 yr Apple warranty
XR = 3GB RAM, 11 = 4GB RAM
XR = A12 CPU, 11 = A13 CPU
Regardless, I bought the refurb XR in the other thread around Christmas (it was in great condition) and bought the 11 this morning around 9:30am. I will be using the iPhone with Total Wireless (existing customer in multi line plan).
Let's talk about unloading the refurb XR.😁 Energyx has mentioned Trademore as an option for $192 and has 4 successful transactions, GameStop will do $180 but phone must be unlocked first for maximum cash value. Any other CASH options that are NOT Apple gift card?
One more thing to mention for those in a multi line plan with Total Wireless buying this as an Upgrade for an existing line:
Now that Total Wireless connects the purchased plan to the SIM card included with the phone, if you buy the plan that matches your current plan (mine is 4 lines, $100), when you activate the new device it will remove the line from the existing plan and create a new group for that line. It is an absolute hassle to get the line back into the old group and apply the $100 plan into the old group's reserve. Over 2 hours on the phone with multiple agents of all levels to get it worked out.
This time around, I am going to eat the cost of the $25 plan and use a new, spare BYOD Total Wireless SIM to activate the iPhone 11 for my existing line in the existing group. It's that bad!

[QUOTE=Nick6280;152846392]Yeah, main differences being:
XR = Refurb, 11 = New w/ 1 yr Apple warranty
XR = 3GB RAM, 11 = 4GB RAM
XR = A12 CPU, 11 = A13 CPU
When I ordered Sprint iPhone 13 Pro, I clicked upgrade on my iPhone 12 (active on my line). Can I still send in iPhone XR (I got this from Totat wireless deal), instead of sending iPhone 12 back?
I got my return kit today and it doesn't mention which phone model or serial number is to be returned. XR is also eligible for same credit amount at 12 ($800)... so above question.
Thanks in advance.
Good luck

So it was hard to believe that the new policy had to do with THE TOWERS 😒😒😒😒 TF
Its the towers 😒😒😒
So I called and checked on 4 companies: TFW, TW, SM, NET10
And yes, all 3 will unlock after 60 days because they use the VW towers EXCEPT SM
Go figure 😒😒😒
