"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"
SIM options
Tracfone: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
Total Wireless: Verizon
Simple Mobile: T-Mobile
Net10: ATT(now removed), T-Mo, Verizon
Pageplus: Verizon
Walmart Family Mobile: T-Mo
Straight Talk: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
I've been doing this a while and know the ins and outs of TFW. Verizon may or may not force all brands to their network at some point. They also may consolidate the brands, but that's the rundown.

You: are all of your phones unlocked?
Gizie: Thank you. No. The phones we have are
locked to our brand however, you have the
option to unlock the device for a fee if you have
not met the 12 months of service requirement.
For Android devices, the fee will be $150 minus
$12 for every paid active month per device. For
iPhones, the fee is $300 minus $25 for every
paid active month per device. Cards on reserve
are not calculated as paid active. This amount
will be automatically calculated by the system.

But for now, at BB the TMO phones give $500 TIV for the 11, $390 for the XR, so $20 or so better bump up in the end on the XR and less upfront to boot.
AT TMO, they both get $800 TIV (bill credits) if you have Max plan, otherwise $400 TIV for each. So right now XR is definitely the better trade donor there. But if you don't have Max plan I would do Best Buy right now, which usually doesn't charge tax on full MSRP like TMO does in these deals
