"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"

Do not just swap an older sim into a new phone, it's against TF/TW Verizon terms & phone sim needs to be registered to IMEI of phone it's currently in. There's no way of knowing if VZ will catch it or when - and unless you're OK with losing service at any time it's just not worth it.
May have worked before but now that Verizon has purchased TF/TW they may start enforcing it for everyone.
