"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"
SIM options
Tracfone: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
Total Wireless: Verizon
Simple Mobile: T-Mobile
Net10: ATT(now removed), T-Mo, Verizon
Pageplus: Verizon
Walmart Family Mobile: T-Mo
Straight Talk: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
I've been doing this a while and know the ins and outs of TFW. Verizon may or may not force all brands to their network at some point. They also may consolidate the brands, but that's the rundown.

On the sim swapping. The plan is with the sim. You can put the sim with the plan in any verizon compatible phone and it will work. I know this because I have swapped many phones on totalwireless. The sim is not locked to a phone. Same thing with tracfone activated sims.
On the phones, they work with any tracfone provider even after being activated. I activated my mothers phone on the $25 totalwireless plan, I pulled the tracfone activated (not totalwireless) sim with 3 years of tracfone service from her old phone and put it in her new phone. Works fine, the phone is locked to tracfone providers not only to totalwireless.

Its too early to reference back to previous cases.
plus like I said the plan is not glue to the iPhone, that's all I'm. It asking the user to swap, even if others have been successful ♀️

While it works for a while - don't be surprised if VZ contacts you or your line gets cut off, it's been happening to others.
Don't count on things working as they used to, it's not the same company as before.

The only thing verizon cares about is sim activation, they won't activate a sim unless you give them an imei whitelisted in their system. After that you can put the sim in any phone that is verizon compatible even if its not whitelisted in their system.
This hasn't happened in a while but where that issue came up is when the pixel 1 came out it was verizon compatible but verizon hadn't whitelisted imeis yet. So you could use your old sim just fine, but if you were signing up with verizon and didn't have an active sim they wouldn't activate a new sim with the imei of the pixel 1, you had to give them a different imei to activate the sim. Eventually they loaded the imeis into their system.

1) you buy a $1 TF BYOD SIM
2) transfer that "3 years of tracfone service from her old phone" to this new SIM
3) "activate" the new SIM on this new iphone
That's basically what the 1st case in https://www.howardforum

They just want to know if the plan is glued to the iPhone 11 🙄
Some are using the TF $40-$50 plans on these 😬 because kids and the elderly might not need a plan w/50 gigs.
Some are just content with buying the phone at -$200 and using an inexpensive plan 🤗

You can clearly see a drop down menu, before checkout, to choose the carrier on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/283448464240?var=584486806383 [ebay.com]
Idk why ppl would buy an ATT sim for a VW iPhone. That's why I never mentioned ATT since my post is for a VZ iPhone.
Sorry about that 😬

As me and oregon14 pointed out, there has been documented cases of that NOT going smooth with TF VZ SIMs with swapping. I believe there has been recent occurrence of "VZ contacts you or your line gets cut off". Maybe it works 99 out of 100 times, but YMMV.
Yes, I'm not talking about that "kids and the elderly" case anymore, and sorry about if I'm missing any more super ultra specific things or details that references to a super specific post.
The post it self mentioned the new VZ Unlocking policy. It's not like ATT is mentioned anywhere.
If TF and Net10 use other carriers then that's a possibility, but I'm not referring to other carriers because my post is not for other carriers.
You are the only one that keeps on bringing in ATT 😬 not me
You were also implying a blanket statement w/o saying "my post is for a VZ iPhone". TF and NET10 uses all networks.

And maybe you should prepend "my post is about VZ and only VZ", otherwise your blanket statements are confusing.

What blanket statement? Im referring to compatible devices as per the post/policy stated.
Im not talking about other carriers at all 😒
I hope you realize that I'm keeping my comment limited to the post itself, because I'm not making a post for ATT or T-Mobile.
