This is a blend of ice melting ingredients. Primary ingredient is sodium chloride (NaCl) with 85-99%
This is not good for pets, vegetation, metal, concrete, etc.

I was looking at ice melts in Lowes the other day. All brands had big words on the front side. Magnesium Chloride!, Pet friendly, safe for enviroment, safe for all! Look behind and most of the ingredients were salt and everything else but MgCl.

Be sure to read the list of ingredients before purchasing.

I bought Road Runner MgCl, single ingredient. Worked great for ice melt. Only issue is that you need a lot. Benefit was its really pet friendly and has no environmental issues.

Price is lower than what I pay for their 20 lb bag and it will be here Saturday. We're expecting around a foot of snow on Sunday.

I was able to get it shipped for free in WI. I also have Walmart plus, but I think that only affects shipping minimums.

Just looked that up…Google says in general I've melt has a 2 year shelf life of stored properly. Not sure how accurate that is, just first thing that came up in search results.
