TC-Helicon GO SOLO Audio/MIDI Interface - $49 (Sweetwater) Free Shipping

Seems like a good deal on a pretty powerful little USB audio interface. It is primarily for connecting your 1/4" guitar cable to a mobile device or computer, but also has a mic preamp and breakout cables for connecting MIDI devices. That's a lot of tech in a portable form factor.

Goes for $79 and up at other retailers.

Beware it has no official Windows support. It might work with ASIO4all, but it's not officially supported. Appears intended for IOS and maybe MacOS. That said, it looks to have much more connectivity than an iRig HD for less money. Might work well with an iPad and garage band. No idea how it compares in performance.

Good looking out, thanks. Will plug it into a PC to see what happens, but mostly planning to use with an iPad, so not too worried about Windows support.

Looks decent for the money. And includes a slew of cables - but, I already have most of them; backups are always appreciated. This will reduce the size of my gigging rig considerably since I normally use: a Scarlett 2i2 > Macbook Pro > FOH & in-ears mixers

As far as PC support It looks like it's Class Compliant device - AKA doesn't need drivers with any modern operating system - which also means I'd expect it to work with Linux as well.
Pretty common on basic audio interfaces which are only mono/stereo. It'll show up in audio devices on a PC or Mac, but isn't going to have many bells and whistles to adjust in settings since it's just the generic Audio Device system driver.

I can already hook-up my Zoom H6 to my iPad, but this is half the size. Much better fit for the narrow niche of needing guitar or XLR input to a phone/tablet. But I find I either just record to the H6, or just grab the laptop and a more full-featured audio interface.. but also that is because I don't have a small handy single-channel interface.

That's exactly my use case. This is for sitting on the couch and plugging into my iPad running BIAS FX 2, with as few wires/connections as possible. I was between this GO SOLO and a used Apogee JAM (~10 years old), which cost about the same on Reverb. The JAM had the benefit of not requiring batteries. But at this price, for a brand new (2020) device, with more bells and whistles, the GO SOLO is too hard to pass up. I am hoping the iPad will give the GO SOLO enough juice to run without batteries, as long as the preamp is off. TBD.

P.S. Thanks for the additional info on PC compatibility.

Debating on whether to buy one of these due to the discount... Not sure what else I could use it for when I have other audio interfaces at my house that can perform similar functions.

I have it configured in Logic Pro X with a buffer size of 32 samples; resulting latency: 7.1 ms roundtrip (3.2 ms output)
