Does anyone know if Apple cares about after market parts on trade ins? Like are they only going to check the screen is good and it powers on? Or will they open it and look inside as well?

Al I have to say is I have phones off a year of service in with them and their 'portal' says they are not eligible for unlock. Good luck in 60 days.

Now 1/3 of the market uses VZ. So they had to give customers a better unlocking policy so that VZ does not hold a monopoly in the market.
Either way once the phone unlocks (and it will), you only have 3 options: T-Mobile, VW or ATT

I received one a little over a week ago that expired in December 21. Honestly it looks brand new and so far working like new. There were a few posts from people who did not have the same luck. I think the majority were happy with the phones they received and some got ones in poor condition. I think that will happen with any refurbusided product.
I wouldn't put too much stock into the remaining warranty anyhow. There were at least two posts I recall seeing where the phone was DOA and Apple denied the repair.

I can buy the XR + $25 plan for $122. If I want more I can get another code and order more. Maybe limit 2? I may have to order to a neighbor or somthing if i want more.
I pay for 2 months of service at $50 x 3-4 lines. Then after 2 months the phones should unlock and i can take them to any carrier I want?
XR comes with all bands for att/tmobile/vz?
I was considering the metro Tmobile deal for the free SE New but if I want an XR this is the way to go. unlocks sooner than metro's 6 months.
