Received a like-new XR unit in mint condition -- battery count = 2, 60+ days warranty remaining and most importantly, all original parts in place. For a Grade A refurbished unit, mime is a great deal even have to pay 2 more months of service to fully unlock. YMMV.

Has anyone successfully used this TW XR for trade in?

I tried to trade in store and the IMEI was clean/compatible, but because it was locked, made it ineligible for trade in.

Can you elaborate? Did you tell them it was locked? Did they power it on to check in settings? Did they just input the IMEI and then tell you it was locked?

I used i4.cn (Chinese UI only) to validate the part numbers of various components. It has been very good at filtering out rebuilt/remanufacturing iPhone devices (from China).

oh it doesn't work well for TW refurbished phones because the vendor here will refresh the SN of the aftermarket parts to original. The only way to confirm is through apple repair center. Check the other XR threads where warranty repair was rejected by apple after inspection, though all looks genuine without modification or replacement, but apple is able to detect it after opening the case. And granted at least all battery are aftermarket replacement thats why all their phones always show 100% battery life with just 1 or 2 charge cycles no matter the age, of course, this means apple official warranty has been voided.
