Here's an actual use, i keep mine in my car (plugged in) and it serves as an emergency phone and cheap lojack for tracking my cars location.
Then at the end of the week you have to buy a car battery that's a great deal!

You can activate this bundle first and then do the instructions below.

You need to go to Walmart and pick you up a byop SIM card kit select Verizon AT&T or T-Mobile put that in your phone and do a transfer from this bundle and you'll be set!
And my A51 will be unlocked after 60 days or just de Moto E phone where I activated the sim card first?.

Texts, Minutes and Data are good for 365 days (not per month). When either are depleted prior to 365 days, you either buy new phone package or separate items (Minutes, Days, Texts or Data) from another source. Tracfone direct, tracfone via eBay or Walmart are good sources.
I've been waiting for Tracfone via eBay deal for $30 / annual, but this deal is better as it includes new phone. I purchased same package in July 2021. I will activate new phone in July 2022, then unlock (prior to Nov '21 activation, so 1 year unlock) and dump on eBay for $25 or more. Rinse and repeat every time new HSN Phone deal comes up for $30. Applause
I've tried to use HSN an additional time with my credit card but they know that I've already used the code for $20 off how do you get around that? 👍

New to HSN? $20 off your first order with code HSN2022.
I have the Moto G Play 3G RAM. If I buy this phone and activate it and get the old phone number to transfer the minutes, texts, and data, then can I reactivate the Moto G Play to get the old number with the minutes, texts, and data from the Moto E Phone? If I can do that, the 1500 minutes from the Moto E phone is a good buy.
Can I activate a tracfone phone many times just to transfer minutes, text, and data from old phone to new phone?

In past using BYOP sim in a phone has not qualifed for unlock since it's meant for already unlocked phones.
To be safe for unlock the phone that gets activated with a TF sim needs to have no changes for 60 days. After 1/23 we should have more info about qualifications for unlocking.

At least a few months, many have waited longer in the past. It's not a new version of Android though, so longer you wait the older it becomes.

Verizon bought Tracfone in late November & there's no way to know yet if they're going to continue selling these cheap bundles or if there will be changes to them.

I see a lot of people replying to that "backup phone" comment. Just a fyi it's the same exact comment that I've seen posted over and over the past couple years here in random phone deal threads...

On topic though, does anyone know if this has band 71?

Google search for model number shows
"4G bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 25, 26, 30, 66, 71"
so you should be OK after unlock

from my quick research Nope... other models yes.
It looks like Motorola won't provide a Booloader unlock code, but have any determined users found a way around Motorola's block?

I'm pretty sure that device can be swapped once activated and the plan itself costs around $40 on sale. I have similar set up for my kid as emergency while he's in school. Doesn't spoil them with unlimited data and not fancy enough to play games or show off so he can stay focused on learning lol.
He'd end up focusing on waiting for any app to load. 4 hours later, when one finally does, it's lunchtime
