He'd end up focusing on waiting for any app to load. 4 hours later, when one finally does, it's lunchtime
Was actually surprised at how well this phone works with only 2gb ram, it's as fast as some of my 3gb have been. Plenty of positive comments on earlier threads for this model. Great for child or someone that just needs for minimal use.

Good cheap way to add on a year of service and possibly have a spare unlocked phone after 60 days. Then transfer service back to your phone of choice or rinse and repeat if they start having deals on 5g phones.

I understand the SIM card coming with this phone in the package has 1-year of service with 1500 text/voice/data. I also bought another better Tracfone.I have a few questions:
  1. Can I use the SIM from this phone to activate a better Tracfone? If so, can I unlock the better phone after 1 year of service?
  2. If I use SIM card from this phone to activate another phone, can I still use this phone with another SIM card of Tracfone?
  3. Basically, does the SIM card from this phone has to be activated with this phone?
  4. Is there any expiration time for the SIM card with 1-year service? Can I activate this SIM card, say 1 year later?

1. No
3. Yes
4. Probably shouldn't wait that long.

Verizon just bought Tracfone in late November and we don't know if they will be changing these bundles or not. I wouldn't wait more than a few months to activate.

In order to get plan & qualify to unlock sim needs to be activated in phone it comes with. After unlock you can activate a different phone keeping current number and switch plan/phone number to the new phone.

I've tried to use HSN an additional time with my credit card but they know that I've already used the code for $20 off how do you get around that? šŸ‘
Yeah maybe someone here can tell us about that because I don't understand why I can't use my same credit card because I have friends that I order phones for so that makes them a new customer to HSN but yet they won't give me the discount for that friend's gift that I bought them. If another HSN person is in the house someone needs to let us know about that because we're not being treated fairly and yet HSN wants to sell do they not?

Do you have a back up key (AKA spare key) an extra pen, USB drive, SSD....

Back up phone.... in case your primary phone breaks while out hiking, climbing, camping, traveling in the boondocks... etc

I friend of mine got stranded in a snow storm and his and his wife's phone died then they remember their 11 year old kid had an emergency phone.
I have 2 phones.
One number I give out to businesses, online, credit cards, etc. I don't carry this with me and check it at most once daily.
The other only goes to friends and selected others like for doctors appts.

Yes, I could do something like use google voice to accomplish the above, but the 2nd phone also serves as a backup in case something happens to the other one - like "I lose it" or "I break it".

I have the Moto G Play 3G RAM. If I buy this phone and activate it and get the old phone number to transfer the minutes, texts, and data, then can I reactivate the Moto G Play to get the old number with the minutes, texts, and data from the Moto E Phone? If I can do that, the 1500 minutes from the Moto E phone is a good buy.
Can I activate a tracfone phone many times just to transfer minutes, text, and data from old phone to new phone?

I don't understand this question: "Can I activate a tracfone phone many times just to transfer minutes, text, and data from old phone to new phone?"

But perhaps this will help:

If you want to keep your old phone:
After you activate the new phone, try moving the SIM from new phone to the old phone and the old phone should work. I've done that successfully in the past.

hello, how long can I keep this phone without activation. In case i want to gift it to someone.

At least a few months, many have waited longer in the past. It's not a new version of Android though, so longer you wait the older it becomes.

Verizon bought Tracfone in late November & there's no way to know yet if they're going to continue selling these cheap bundles or if there will be changes to them.
I've waited more than a year a few times, but there are no guarantees ...

It's $30 for a better than average phone. Very smart move. Some of us are in construction or labor intensive employment. I just cant drop $800 on a new phone if it drops out of my pocket at 2 stories up.
And only fools spend $800 on a phone! Or lock themselves into a phone contract to get said phone ...

Certain upper level phones have dual SIM [androidauthority.com] More convenient than dealing with two phones but also more expensive

Note that, Tracfone policy for unlock is 1 year service with them. (total wireless is 60 days but expensive plans).

But the tracfone sim is good for kids/light usage with their referrals reward program after account signup.

But in the past Verizon didn't own the company and we have no idea if - or how - they might change things, everything is up in the air.
"Before Verizon" won't be the same as "After Verizon", guaranteed.
