How did you know I needed one?

I seriously went to Advance Auto Parts to shop local and they didn't have anything but the plastic non-parallel clamps.

Excellent deal, Thank you SO much.

Reviews indicate some issues. I recommend this HF hose clamp [harborfreight.com] set which might not be as fast/convenient, but works really well.

Gearwrench 3792 works well, if you can find one nowadays. Also, why is this deal not in Auto?

When and how often do you use this? Changing brake caliper?

Yes, I just happened to be planning a caliper job for my truck.

There might be other times, like fuel filter replacement, that this will come in handy.

$25+ bucks is too much, but this was a reasonable price

Careful with brake lines. If they are older this can weaken them so that they collapse when under reverse pressure causing caliper to not retract. Just put a catch pan under, it doesn't leak that much if the reservoir cap is on. Heck, when you change calipers you will have to bleed anyway, great time to change fluid too (gravity flush, just make sure your reservoir doesn't run dry or you'll be going to the dealer to get the air out of the ABS).

That said, I bought one of these (craftsman branded gearwrench, not sure which model) and it's one of those things you don't know how you lived without. Used to use various other clamps and this is so much simpler.
