HP always charges your credit card first, way before they ship.
IF HP decides to cancel your order due to "price mistake", they technically cannot do that, b/c they have already charged your card.
Many members are reporting their confirmation email show a much higher price. You should immediately put in credit card dispute. Then file BBB and FTC complaints.
DO NOT BUY ANY HP LAPTOP WITH A LONG SHIP DATE.
THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD TODAY, AND WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL.
IF YOU RETURN IT, YOU WILL GET HIT WITH 15% RESTOCKING FEE.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Clearly a price mistake and going by the comments, there will be lots of people here that have never experienced a price mistake before and the potential frustration that goes along with it.
I'm waiting for all the armchair legal experts to show up and start saying the usual nonsense:
"Legally, they have to honor the price!!"
"This is false advertising!!!"
"I better get my laptop or I'm suing!!"
"My order is confirmed, they can't cancel it anymore!!"
"I've been on hold for hours trying to get through to customer service, I'm adding emotional damages to my lawsuit!!"
"Class action anyone?!?!"
The usual price mistakes stay under the radar of most people just casually browsing the front page of SD, but since this was listed on the FP, it would be a shame if SD'ers expressed their frustrations with Slickdeals directly when things start going wrong.

I realize this falls under "This is how things currently are," but things are wildly unfriendly to the consumer if the retailer can just change the price / cancel a fully charged order and we can't do a return or cancel without a ton of hassle or fees.
