Shuttering Sprint's 4G LTE network is the latest shutdown for T-Mobile. Last July the carrier turned off Sprint's 5G network to bolster its own 5G offering while it has more recently announced that plans to shutter Sprint's older 3G CDMA network on Jan. 1, 2022.
For me it was no trade in, no plan change, free Pixel 6 outright $0/m for 24 months on my current sprint plan. I have two phones on my account, offer was only valid on one of them.
Another reason sweeter deal may have been offered to me, they are forcing my phone off the network, so doing nothing is not an option. I had a BYOD that would no longer be compatible.

It gave upgrade options on both phones, but the pixel 6 only showed up as free for the line with the soon to be unsupported phone.
I honestly don't remember what kind of deal I got from sprint originally. I had one phone I might have been paying less than $20 a month for, then added a free line or something, so only pay $25 for two lines on whatever plan I am on. bill says Unlimited kickstart, Unlimited On us or something.
Both lines I had bring your own device. The unsupported was an LG Thin Q G7. It didn't make me change plans to get the deal. It just said I NEEDED to take their free phone or bring a new device to keep service.
I am still techinically on sprint and this is to make my account 'ready' to transition. I separately talked to tmobile about home internet and mentioned the plans I am on for cell (long story, i can't sign up for tmobile home internet because I have sprint... ) and the dude said they will be bringing over my plans as-is, but they aren't ready to do it yet. so, sit back and wait until they get things figured out. basically, they intend to honor my plans and grandfather them in.

Then I traded in XS Max and S20 FE for $800 off of S21 and 13 pro max. S21 was free and the 13 pro max will be $10 a month.
Sprint users have gotten some great deals recently
Just curious if anyone has traded in a phone in this deal with a small crack.

I just got mine a few days ago and did notice the finger print sensor didn't work well at all as delivered. After applying all updates I haven't noticed any issues.
I kind of miss my thinq though. Pixel seems bulky in comparison. Oh well. Can't complain about a free flagship phone.
They are only offering me $300 trade in for my Google Pixel 3 XL and then I would have to finance the Google Pixel 6 Pro for 24 months at $12.50 per month and switch to T-Mobile.
It doesn't feel like a great deal to me. I'm not being offered the $0 / month like yall are.
But maybe yall were already paying $12.50 / month or more so it feels like $0 / month to yall.
Any thoughts that can help me would be really appreciated. Any thoughts?
