you wouldn't (i breed inverts and resell on craigslist)
if you live in nyc, the catskills watershed adds chloramine
so instead of using these expensive additives, you are much
better off simply using a chloramine specific filter stage
into your tap water system like this during water changes;
removing chloramine will also improve your water taste
for water intensive beverages like quality tea and coffee.
keep in mind for any chloramine stage to work effectively
you need to low flow the water through your filter system.
do not use that pentek alone, you need at least one
particulate removing stage before it, otherwise you
will waste thousands of gallons of pentek's use life.

Cool! Wish you were more local to me, or I would be a decent customer. I live in southern California and have been checking around to see what neocaridina I can find. Im new to shrimp but have 11 years in planted tanks. My tap water is pretty hard with a PPM of 500+. Im using RO bottled water at the moment for my new 5gal Nano.The filter you suggested, where exactly would that install? Im in an apartment, and dont have a filtration system at the moment. I am installing a 6 stage RO water filter at my kitchen sink very soon though. Would this be a cartridge for that?
So this product is just another gimmicky thing to sell people with shrimp huh? Thats what I figured.
