This is known for having a screen with issues both in terms of quality and response time. I would say at least wait until next year's model which has a new screen (there's a Dave 2d video on this) and a substantial processor bump. I guess it will be a couple hundred more, but legit seems like this is something to wait on getting given.

From where did you get the Quality issues? Any source or reviews claiming that? Response time, yes I'm aware of.
Is it a OLED scree that it will have burn in? Google it out is a easy way out if people don't have any concrete information. I did google it and found out one report in reddit while playing games and got reverted back after some time. Did not see any other reports. May be you can point out those widespread reports.
The 2022 version of the G14/15 look promising so I think i'll wait for that. Having been following the G14 since they had the 2060 the 3060 at least seem to be a marked improvement
This is a nice laptop- the only model to get for this g14 because its ghosting is about half the 1080p- however with the new model on the horizon that improves every aspect, its hard to bite at this price point-
That's a damn fine deal! Bought this exact laptop in May of last year. It earns me approx 0.01232 BTC every 14 days or so. At current prices, it's already almost paid itself off. At 2030 prices, it made me a millionaire.

ah didn't know that, thank you!
That information is a older information and Thunderbolt is no more Intel's proprietary technology. Otherwise how Macbook M1 are having them? Intel has transferred the Thunderbolt rights to USB consortium and now anybody who can implement the required security levels, can use Thunderbolt. USB 4.0 itself is based on Thunderbolt 3.
The reason why Zen 2 and Zen 3 based CPUs, especially the mobile chips , don't have it because AMD don't have a memory guard protection technology compatible with Thunderbolt security protocol and because of that any PCIe lanes coming from the CPU in AMD Processors, can't be used for Thunderbolt. All the mobile Ryzen chips use PCIe lanes from CPU and hence can't have TB3. However, upcoming Ryzen 6000 series are having USB 4.0 support and if laptop manufacturers want, they can implement TB3 features.
You will see Thunderbolt 3 in some AMD Desktop based X570 boards but that's completely different story. The X570 motherboard can provide 8X PCIe 4.0 lanes directly from the motherboard chipset and the motherboard manufacturers can implement the memory guard protection on those PCIe lanes directly in the motherboard and get the certification from USB consortium. Here AMD is no involved and the whole thing is done by customized TB3 controller developed by the motherboard manufacturers for that specific product.
This is not possible with 4000 and 5000 series Ryzen mobile chips as all the laptop motherboards still use a customized version of B450 chip which does not have PCIe lanes in the motherboard chipset and solely relies on the PCIe lanes coming from the CPU.
Nice! I have a t30U, since 2016, that crap is still working like a champ. Best investment ever, got me through everything.... I hope Lenovo hasn't decreased their quality, I hear that they started making batteries less replaceable which is sad, but that's from Louis Rossman on YouTube! Hopefully that isn't true! My battery also needs to be replaced ;
He tends to know what he's talking about from what I've seen :/
This is why I have a Thinkpad, I can throw at it someone and the screen will still work, 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good to know! I've been debating a dell xps 17 or Lenovo ThinkPad for a new laptop. Need something for photo editing and possibility of ps5 or Xbox game streaming if my family wants to use the big screen.
I ordered this on Feb 21 and Bestbuy listed it as available for pickup on Feb 28. Night of Feb 28 Bestbuy changed the status to 'Delayed' and that it will be updated in several days.
Anyone else experiencing this problem or is it just me? I'm travelling next week and won't be back for a few months so considering cancelling if not resolved soon.
