I used to ONLY fill up at Shell, but they are one of the highest priced here in CA, and have been for the duration on the pandemic, so I ditched them. This is basically a gallon of fuel for free, but for what you're paying there you may as well go somewhere else and save even more.

FYI The T-Mobile Tuesdays Shell deal got WAY worse this year. It used to be 10¢ off, plus the normal silver or gold discounts of 3¢ or 5¢, and I believe good all week, or at least until Sunday night, then they cut it to had to be used by Friday night...

2022 Tuesdays: You get free Gold Status for three months, so 5¢ off, and then an additional 5¢ off, that MUST be used, on Tuesday.

A friend gave me one of their free Tmo lines so I could have Tmo and Verizon, so I used to use this promo once in awhile vs going to Costco, as it would sometimes make it the same price, however, now it doesn't make much sense as Shell is the highest priced fuel here.

This is still a good deal, but not amazing if you already have a CC that gives 4% back for gas, granted, if you purchased this gift card with a 2% cash back gift card, you'd still be somewhere between 7-8% off. I might grab a couple for trips in the future when I won't be able to pass a Costco.

in-store pick-up of gift cards sounds risky .... they activate the gift cards and put those back in shelf until you arrive ???

It gave me only the curbside option at first so decided not worth my while but then later it gave me the free shipping option so in for 3. thanks op!

At least Shell nearby is $4.90 compared to $5.17 further down at Chevron. Of course Costco is the cheapest way to go for me.

Currently $2.61/gal @ Sam's Club & $2.69/gal among the cheapest Shell stations in Southeast Houston. Still saving a bit more at Shell with T-Mo Tues. + gasbuddy app/pay.

Varies by station. I pass 2 Shells in my regular travels. One charges cash price and other charges credit price. Your best bet is to try to use a station that charges the same price for cash/credit or get $10 worth of gas and see what price you get charged.

Ditto in the Pacific NW. Was the same in Atlanta. I save more at Kroger stores by maximizing their Fuel Points system (shopping deals plus weekly receipt surveys) and "same store" loyalty discounts via paying with Gasbuddy (that was $6 plus the standard bonus on my last 18 gallon fill-up).

Today near me: Shell $4.23 (highest in the area). Fred Meyer (Kroger) $3.54 before member discounts. Walmart 3.46.
