Really intrigued by the price point and was all set to go. I'm hung up on extended warranty and whether buying best buy with the burn in coverage is actually worth the $600price tag vs Costco's allstate warranty included in the price but no burn in coverage. Costco's site says this price is good through 1/22 but I'm so torn on the warranty !

I'm in the same boat with the Costco deal. From what I understand, You generally really need to work hard to burn in. Like watching the same cable news or ESPN all day most days.

I watch a lot of sports, and I'm not worried about it.

I just want a lower price. Or I need to justify the Costco warranty as being worth enough to pull the trigger there. This TV at 65 inches was 1798 on Amazon just last month. Now 2198 everywhere.

This one or LG C1?
C1 if you plan on doing more gaming than movie watching, the A80J if you plan on doing the opposite. I have the A80J 77" and the picture is amazing. I also have a GTX 2080super desktop gaming to it and it plays beautifully but from my understanding the C1 works better with consoles which I do not use. The Sony US version still has not received an update to enable VRR. The Sony will also have a more reflective screen so if you have it in a bright room with windows it could cause an issue. I have blackout curtains which block out a fair amount of light from my living room and I can still pick up some glare if I look for it. the screen is quite glossy compared to the C1.

Looking at the C1 for our new PS5 purchase. We also watch a lot of tv/movies. Netflix, AppleTV+, Hulu, Paramount+ - all that. From what I have read, it's the best OLED dollar for dollar for most.

I'm currently stuck between Costco C1 with the Allstate warranty for 5 years at 2000 or Best Buy for 5 years 2400 that includes burn in. Only other plus for BB is I can finance for 24 months, which is nice. Costco is outright.

Hard pick.

You guys think the 77 could drop another $200 soon? Super bowl time? Already submitted for $100 price adjust at Costco. Bought mine mid December. I've read they will continue giving price adjustments for 90 days because they know you could return it in that window if you want.

The Costco 77 inch C1s have evo panels despite it not being advertised. I would worry about burn in a slight bit less, but am still taking all the precautions to avoid it

Based on your username, you have access to shopmyexchange which is where I got my 77" A80j for $2,499 in Nov. No tax, free shipping (though it took almost 3 weeks). It sold out super fast at that price though. Set an alert on SD and check the website daily for price changes. Lots of sales come and go that are never advertised on their front page.

Great, thank you! I saw the history on that when searching previous sales. I wasn't financially ready at that time, but imo that's the SD we should be seeing with A80K on the horizon. I have had this model on alerts here, but do only fp items show up in alerts? You're notice reminds me to make sure my account info is active with the exchange. So thank you!
