Secondipity uses CEVA and the customer service is useless. Nice, but useless (Secondipity that is, CEVA is pure trash). I'm still waiting for the bums to get this shattered piece of garbage out of my place
I'm going to make this order after crossing a black cat, under a ladder, taking my open umbrella inside, and asking "What's the *worst* that could possibly happen??"

Just a shout out to mention how immensely useful these types of comments are. I've used Newegg a lot, and mostly trust them. But I wasn't aware of how bad Secondiptity is. So, thanks for the comment.

Secondipity people are nice enough and quick to reply, but it's like they're just along for the ride.
CEVA sent one guy to deliver a 75-in TV. I guess he felt like being Billy Badass because he carried it upside down on his shoulder. You can clearly see on the screen where his shoulder broke it. Embarrassing. I sent them and secondipity pictures of the guy doing it and the TV itself, but it's still sitting here broken in my game room. The way prices are dropping on new ones from places like Costco and whatever it doesn't really seem worth the risk just to save a couple hundred bucks on last year's TV. Live and learn. Just an opinion.
It's very YMMV depending on your local CEVA office. CEVA's national office was helpful but it took me a few days to reach the Boston CEVA office to schedule the delivery. I called twice, and no one picked up, tried again the next day and same thing, but the day after that a lady immediately answered. They sent two people to drop off my TV and the guy was nice enough to help bring it inside. TV was like-new in my case, although it was packaged in an A80CK box.

That was just this week. Also, look up the RMA controversy earlier this year with GamersNexus. Newegg had been saying they "never received" returns. And to their mistake they did this scam to a major internet personality who ended up exposing it.
The consensus is the company has gone to complete shit after they sold in 2016 to a Chinese company, Hangzhou New Century Information Technology Co., Ltd. in a massive $2.6B leveraged buyout. They have since been coasting on the good name that Newegg spent over a decade establishing.

I'm not sure which is the weakest link in that chain.

I will say I was a bit concerned when they had one guy deliver a 65" TV in a 77" TV box. Plenty that could've gone wrong there but it didn't.

Personally, I would never buy from Newegg ever again. And I say this as someone who was a long time customer of theirs. [imgur.com]
