This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

nice. too bad you don't live closer, I'd give you all my easy ups. I officially pulled them all out of DS closet and threw them in tag sale pile. Just not worth the aggravation. He hates them and so do we. So now I'll have to buy (shudder) some more huggies pull ups as those seem to work better.

The overnight underjams are inferior to huggies goodnites but they do have some absorbency. I'll keep those.

Grrr...I was going to start seriously trying potty training with DS this morning (he turned 2 in January). I showed him the cool Diego big-boy underwear and he was all excited till I tried to put them on him - then complete and utter meltdown until I put a diaper back on him. Pullups do nothing for him - he pees like a racehorse, just like he does in his diaper. Frown Guess I'll try again in a week or two...

We used stickers as motivation. For every "pee pee yaaaa", he gets a sticker. He LOVES stickers. If he tells us in advance that he has to go, he may get an extra few minutes of his cars movie or something too. We found incentives as a great motivator. I'm definitely going to move to daytime underwear in a couple of weeks when he's not out of the house and see how it goes.

Try the huggies pull ups with cars on them, those hold so much more IMO

Or he may just not be ready yet. Mine turned 2 in January as well and if I would have tried then it wouldn't have worked. Every kid is ready in their own time.

But try motivation. Extra something. A book he wants. Hot wheels.

nod We are doing stickers with Soph and it is working pretty well. She is a bit older and so we explained to her that she will get a big toy when she is done "trainin" (that is what she calls it laugh out loud) so she is excited for that. We are not so excited for that now that her uncle convinced her she wanted a damn pony or a unicorn for her big toy Annoyed Now she tells everyone when she is done "trainin" and wears panties all the time, she gets a pony Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Damn uncles....

Thanks for the offer, but we think easy ups suck too - my oldest uses night time pull-ups at night (daytime potty trained) and we've been able to get the "baby" back into huggies overnights (size 5) and out of the goodnights now that he is only having a small bottle before bed.

I'm not positive, but I think the lemon laws mostly apply to new car purchases. Come on folks, we've got most lines of work covered in here - there's gotta be someone who is a lawyer...

You may want to back off and wait until he is closer to 3. I know some boys are ready earlier, but based on my (admittedly limited) experience and the boys at my son's preschool, it's not too common for them to PT much before 3.

BTW, my standing offer is a jamba juice for DS if he makes it through the week at preschool with no accidents. You've gotta find out what motivates your little dude and run with it!

Like a light switch, all 3 of my boys were trained at 3 - any attempts sooner than that didn't work.

We used gummy bears for an incentive. I think we would do 1 for pee-pee then 2 for poop (or 3 if they said it was a 'biiiig poop' laugh out loud )

No CarFax account, but I'm a hell of a Googler (and I have a year of law school thanks to my dillentantic personality).

It's true that the Lemon Law only applies to new vehicles (or sometimes dealer demos), BUT you could threaten the seller with having supplied you with a "laundered lemon," which would be a vehicle which they knew had mechanical/operational problems which they failed to disclose when they sold it to you.

There's also a kind of federal lemon law which might cover you IF the vehicle had any of the manufacturer's warranty remaining when you bought it (which I'm betting doesn't apply).

I'm thinking you've done your own research, which is why you need a CarFax report, as that might tell the tale of your "new" van. A title search through the DMV might also help.

Here's a link to an attorney who handles this type of case (I'm not affiliated in any way, but this one seems the most comprehensive of several I looked at):

Get 'em, Stormy! [ihatethislemon.com]

Gotta run---will look for some kind of free CarFax offer or trial (plus I *think* my brother-in-law *might* have an account with them...that boy has some bad luck with cars).

Stormy, I hope you are able to take the van back hug Car dealers can be so sleazy, I hate buying from them.

We got alot of rain today and it finally cooled down. Of course, the parking lot flooded so I had to wade in ankle deep water to get to my car this afternoon......I don't care when it's time to go home, I'll swim through it if I have to Roll

Stormy hug that really stinks!

I dont think I can offer any advice, but I love to look at Yahoo Answers. I typed in several keywords " bought vehicle/van/car days ago". You can mix up the keywords and get tons of answers.
