This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

What about my cats genital herpes? You didnt specifically ban that one. If nothing else, I believe this would fall under the jurisdiction of a "miscellaneous matter".

All this talk about getting organized and throwing things out got me inspired. I threw out a bunch of inserts and cleaned out the pantry and basement storage.

I am guilty sometimes of grabbing a marinade or dressing and it might not be the one with the shortest expiration (then I end up with expired stuff). I look like a crazy OCD person now - all of my dressings now have the exp date written in black sharpie on the top of the cap - same thing with marinades and other things with tiny exp dates printed on the bottle somewhere. I hope this will help me use things in the best order.
Congrats on organizing!! Great idea on writing dates on the caps of the products!! It definitely would make it easier to see. nod

just coming by to vent.. don't ya just hate it when you try to help someone out with a question and them someone else comes along and decides to make comments about your post and coupon usage? I mean we aren't talking about anything but a different interpretation here and folks feel like they need to police you and call you out in the middle of a thread.
I wish people would stop feeling like they look better when they talk down someone elseCool

Okay, end of rant.

I need to go to target tomorrow. Gonna get some DVDs and a few other things...

Hope this post doesn't get too long. I'm a noob and my DH just doesn't understand shake head . Last night we bought a laundry hamper and a toy storage container for more than $80.00 total. I asked him if we could wait for a TPC or a sale, but when he has his mind made up that we need something he buys it no questions asked. Now I guess I can just pray to do a price adjust/match.

Side note-I love the Smilies you guys put in your posts. It makes me smile and is worth reading all of them (not just the recaps) just to see the creative use of smilies. Confession: I've never read or posted in any other thread, so I guess that would make me a very nooby noob.

I picked up a box of Quaker Instant Oatmeal for $5.28 AC. The T here had boxes that said $4.00 worth of coupons inside. I don't know if other Ts have these $4.00 coupon boxes. I didn't remember anyone else posting the Qs found. So I thought you might want to know what they were:

$1/1 Quaker True Delights Granola Bars
$1/2 Instant Oatmeal
$1/1 Life Maple Brown Sugar Cereal and
$1/1 Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal

All expiring 12/31/10. HTH

I also picked up baby Mylicon 10oz for $10.89 with $10 worth of coupons inside:
$1/1 Motrin (all these coupons exclude trial size) (no exp)
$1/1 Stayfree advanced protection (exp 12/31/10)
$1/1 Childrens Tylenol or Children's Motrin (no exp)
$1/1 Johnson's soothing naturals (exp 12/31/09)
$1/1 Johnson's baby products (exp 12/31/09)
$1/1 Aveeno Baby (12/31/09)
2-$1/1 Infants' Mylicon (no exp)
$1/1 Concentrated Tylenol Infants Drops (no exp)
$1/1 Concentrated Motrin Infants' Drops (no exp) HTH

There was also a peelie for a 1/2oz bottle of Mylicon with purchase after MIR.

Does anyone's T have the $6.99 DVDs (specifically Over the Hedge or Bee Movie) in Widescreen? My DH specifically told me to take them both back since they aren't widescreen. He has no interest in keeping them at all Scratchhead . I have 2 under 2 and I doubt they will care if the movies they watch are widescreen or not.

Also stopped at a local grocery store and found $1/4 pack of DanActive expires 4/30/09 and Free Dannon Light and Fit WYB 6. Picked up a bunch. PM if interested. The more exciting part was leaving with a gallon of milk, 2 yogurts, and ranch. Had get it free coupons for all but the ranch dressing. Cashier told me I was making out like a bandit. I was excited to get my first cashier compliment. Dance14

I was thinking you guys have it sooo much better than I did (my only is 17) but that has to be 1.0 oz of Mylicon. We called that stuff liquid gold, but it really worked for my son for a while.

And I loved the pee pee teepee. We used the throw a cloth diaper on it the moment you uncover it approach. Worked for us.

This did remind me of when my parents brought my brother home when I was four and he peed on the wall and I told my mom "that baby has a garden hose!".

No wonder all the guys are fixated on that one part. We all watch out for it from the get-go.
