This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Now I'm a full fledged CVS noob, but I've been reading the threads like crazy trying to catch up. I could have sworn that I saw someone say that 9s beep at CVS (but I could also be getting my wires crossed with wags...)

If I come across the post(s), I'll link to them.

OH and I finally found a couple CVS/longs stores near me that carry the pampers jumbo packs. Used my todobebe Qs and rocked that deal Whee

I've been doing CVS for about two years. That was my first thread here at SD. I don't mind answering questions if I know the answer.. laugh out loud Dawn's been in the CVS threads at least as long as I have or longer, so she can probably answer, too, if anyone is learning the ropes...

Actually you might have me beat as the resident long timer. I started CVSing October of '07. When there wasn't a NovaMax meter to be had in my area. Mad

As far as beepers go, I am clueless. I had a resident jedi there. I can't remember if anything beeped. laugh out loud I do miss it though...Sadwalk

did you only have one glade fan and then the oil refills? i've been noticing that my bogos don't attach to the first item but if i have a cents off mq that one attaches to the first one, contrary to the way i learned it last yr. my runs are very small, so i pretty much make sure the most expensive things are on the belt first unless i want the cashier to forget what price something rang up as, i make sure it's not last. like bliss. i stick it somewhere in the middle. i always give my coupons in descending value so it was puzzling me why the bogo wasn't attaching to the first item.

since i only buy one paper each wk, i've never done b2g1 or b3g1 deals or done any sophisticated bogo-ing, like mr clean, etc. and ever since i noticed the bogo mq attaching to the second item i've kept it very simple b/c i'm not sure what will happen and don't want everything to get messed up.
The fan was on the belt first then the oil refills much later. As soon as the B2G1s were scanned, they showed on the screen at 2.89 which is the refill price. This has NEVER happened before. Had a "no item found" thing going on once, but that went away. This seemed much more like a smart register. I like them dumb like Kmart Sadwalk
Isn't Glade a 14 and Sheba a 16? Scratchchin

I ROCKED that Novamax deal back in 07 Rock I paid for my kids Christmas that year with giftcards from CVS. Remember the endless Pantene, Toothbrushes, Mouthwash, Samy, etc. ahhhhh, the good old days. That thread just freaks me out now. Too much to follow Nono

It sure is!!

By the way, I found some B1G1 Mars blinkies at the supermarket about week ago (I'm sure I posted here) - they say "max value $.85" and they are "14s" as if anyone needs any more chocolate!!

Completely and totally off topic, but hopefully helps someone here!

I have just been contacted by a business partner in the Houston area about a job posting they are eager to fill IMMEDIATELY. It is an insurance company that is looking for a degreed Lead Statutory Accountant due to growth. I can vouch that this is an awesome company with southern charm in The Woodlands, TX.

If anyone here is looking or knows someone who is looking for this type of position, please ask them to visit the following website to read the job description and apply. Linky here [greatinsurancejobs.com]

Trust me, I opened every blinkie box I found and found a total of about 10 coupons in 3 stores. People around here LOVE THEIR CANDY BARS!!! I've never opened a blinkie machine and found only 2 coupons left, ever!!

If the cashier scanned the right side instead of the left, it sometimes autos the correct amount. I don't know how, but its happened to me before with blinkie type 14s/16s. I think cause the blinkie is smaller so it ends up scanning the wrong side.
Totally sucks though.

I actually wanted to buy some of the single Snickers, but the barcodes don't match up.

That's how I used to do it - back when I was an amatuer Big Grin . I never take all of them though - unless there are only 2 Teehee.

Scratchchin I can vouch for the fact that they work wonderfully on the Peanut M&Ms in the candy aisle drool . Wonder if the candy bars have shorter barcodes? Or are they entirely different? Interesting!
