As for cleaning the dishwasher, I always put vinegar in the rinse agent holder thingy - every time I run it. (I know, very technical here...) I've never had to do any other kind of cleaning and my dishes always come out sparkly. Oh, I don't know about ya'll, but there used to be an awful stink that would come from it if the dishes didn't get washed right away - but I don't get that any more.
