Ok, say you buy an item using a coupon. Before you pay you see that you bought the wrong item and ask them to take it off the order. What happens to your coupon? Are they supposed to give it back to you? Or is it already used as part of your "payment"?

Hey yall
There is not a recycling place here in my town but in the big city nearby there is one and I called them on two separate occasions and they will NOT allow folks to come and take coupon inserts even if they do it neatly etc. I asked at local stores & gas stations and (other that one place who occasionally has a couple extra) have had NO luck. I wasn't kidding when I said they put them inside locked fenced areas in dumpsters and tell me that they are NOT allowed/willing to let me have the coupons. I did find one gas station who very rarely has a left over one or two whose Manager said I could have them if they had any. However, I can't find a good source for dumpster diving even ....
Well... I think this is just not my week. I don't know how ya'll do it (any advice?), but I was the bug again this morning. Baby was super cranky, but I was determined after scraping myself off the windshield of the first store and went to another store. Unforutnately, just as we walked in the door - baby had a meltdown. I really should've known better, but it's hard to hold off when we only have 1 car and limited time for me to use it. Guess I gotta learn to skip the deal and put the baby to bed.

I am so sorry!!! I have had that issue myself - on many occasions - it is hard with all the kiddos (when I have all 5 it can be a work of art just to get through and still have the energy to breathe) ----- sending WINDSHIELD thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If they take that discount off - then they should return the coupon to you - if they leave the discount on (forgetting to take it off) it might be hard to get the coupon back.
And, WOW! on the 5 kids...my one kicks my butt. I can't imagine having more than one...
