This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! I remember sitting in the dr's office years ago when I was in my teens. There was a distraught 3 year old in one of the chairs with an equally distraught mother. The nurse came out to see what the problem was and they lady explained they had 'lost' a crayon. The kid had shoved this crayon up to brain level. At the time (being kidless and clueless), I couldn't imagine why a kid would even try such a thing. The nurse was trying to help get it out right there in the waiting room but I was called back and didn't get to see the ending. To be a fly on the wall that day LMAO
these days, 2 kids later, I don't doubt or question anything anymore laugh out loud
Ok so your doc office story reminded me of a college ER trip I had. I got bit by some bug on my inner thigh and was having a severe allergic reaction so off to ER I went. In the next "bay" there were 2 little kids that had gotten ahold of Vicks vaporub. They shoved it up their noses and ate alot of it. Let's just say I could not handle the smell of Vicks for many many years after that. Sick They were Crying2 & vomit Vicks the entire time I was there. Bigeye Let's just say it was a daddy at home alone with the kiddos. Mom met them there and went apeshit on his arse! Roll

Hey SG, don't know if you are still reading, but I just remembered something. It won't roll your cat, but it is a good deal. I posted this on the WAG Clearance thread-- there are stamps.com photo stamp kits on clearance at WAG for 7.19, which gets you 20 stamps. That's cheaper than buying regular postage! You might look out for those; they are found on lower shelves in the photo area. Smilie
I've wondered about these before. Not to be dense, but how do they work?

Did the laser hurt? I am trying to convince myself to do it. I did Electrolosys a few years back and that was horrible. And it didn't work!
I want laser done so bad
It hurts like crazy but you can also ask for a local topical anesthetic cream to use beforehand. Sometimes you have to purchase it and sometimes they will just let you use some of theirs if you arrive 30 mins early. The cream really helps!!! You can tell when they hit an area where you didn't use the cream OMG

It works, but it does take quite a few sessions - maybe 6 sessions, depending on the area. And if you don't go back every couple years for a session or so, you will see some hair growth as dormant follicles kick back in. Factoring that in, it can be expensive, but is the best option if you want something that will last. I'm glad I had it done Smilie Oh, and it works best if you have fair skin and dark hair in the area that they are working on - so if possible, make sure you keep that area out of the sun for some time before you schedule a session.

3 Reach Ultra Clean Floss = $9
1 Garnier 3 min treatment = $3.99
1 Goody Ouchless Headband = $3.99
- $2 Listerine/Reach mq

Dontknow I never actually found the dang things myself. Teehee I just read about them elsewhere and reported here.

But I think you just upload your photos and then print the postage at home using their software and labels.

Just a heads up - if you have the Fisher Price Kid Tough DVD player packed away for a holiday or something, you might want to haul it out and make sure it works fine. My daughter had hers for only about 6 months, and it quit working. And I was just told by a Fisher Price customer service rep that those have been discontinued and they will not be making them anymore. I have no idea if that means they will honor a warranty on them or not later on down the line, but I'd hate for someone here to pull this thing out at Christmas, have it not work - and Fisher Price tell you "too bad, we stopped making those things a year ago" or something along those lines. That would be the suck. nod

I would not be happy. My kid loves that thing. Carries it around and loves when the red light blinks "plug mommy". I love that he can work it himself. He's allowed to watch it only certain times as we only allow 30 min of tv a day but when he does, it's absolutely priceless.

My daughter loves hers, too.. but I have to say, she was pretty rough on it. So if you have a kiddo who isn't too rough with it, it probably will be okay. But hers stopped playing altogether. I bought it in January (I think, during toy clearance?) and gave it to her for Valentine's Day. So it lasted 5 months. She is bad about opening hers and pulling the discs out. (UGH!! Which is also hard on my movies..!!) I wish the door locked on it..

IME, fisher price stuff breaks a lot, but they are great about the warranty. Granted you have to tell them that you purchased it within the past year (you usually shouldn't have to produce a receipt). I've had to have them replace one bouncer, at least 3 crib mobiles, one laugh & learn puppy, and a laugh & learn phone. I'm not impressed with their quality, but have been impressed with their warranty and service. And in the case of them not making the exact model for something that I've had that has stopped working, they usually send out the newest model.

Yes, they're taking care of me with no problems.. but 6 months from now, they probably won't have the player in stock anymore to replace ones that aren't working. They do have good customer service.. I've always had positive experiences with them! (Sounds like you had a baby who was tough on mobiles..! laugh out loud)

Hope this ? goes here. Does anyone have any idea when Target will put their dollar stuff (you know the colored dots stuff in the front of their stores) on 50% clearance? A while ago I think it was the red dots that went 50% off in early/mid-week and I went on a Saturday looking to take advantage of that deal only to find by that time the stuff was 75% off. I use the stuff for kids birthday party treat bags and am looking for another % off sale. Thanks.
