And speaking of the RC, I tried to use it twice now and buy less than what the RC was for, and they always say they have to keep the RC. She told me for "auditing purposes"
Though, I wonder what happens when you get more than what the rain check is for - i.e. if the rc is for 8, but you get 10. Is it an auto-deduction kind of thing, or something they do manually?
I click the "view first unread" button - and then skim. *shrug* Sometimes that's an okay way to do it, other times I have to wade through a lot of stuff... a lot of stuff... I tend to catch most of the info pretty well that way, and if there's something I don't understand, I can usually scroll up a little and figure it out. The search feature is wonky for me. Sometimes I get the info I need, but sometimes it takes me on a goose chase. PM's are great friends too - most folks don't mind answering a pm at all. All this I figured out to do before I ever read the informational thread/wiki stuff. I guess I assumed it was common sense kind of stuff, but apparently it's not!
I do find that I waste a lot of time on the threads. I think I need more self discipline! Like right now... I should be folding the laundry and/or organizing my q's to go shopping tonite and tomorrow. But... I'm not.

I am wondering what the big deal is about the toys. (well, I realize the good deal on the leapfrog stuff cuz the q) But, is it just because they are 75% clearance?? Are folks reselling these - cuz even at the clearance prices, I can't see selling them for much of a profit. Maybe I'm way off here. *shrug*

hmm... here's a different topic:
I need some ideas for some foods. I have a playdate thing at a park tomorrow (or monday if it rains). What's a good toddler friendly snack to take to share? I know these mom's pretty well, so I'm sure someone will bring the usual fruit, crackers, cheese, etc... Not sure what I should bring.
Sunday we are having a pot-luck at church. We'll also have the usual salads, fruits, and casseroles (and usually plenty of desserts), so what is a good side or main dish that doesn't take a ton of time and is summery and NOT a casserole or salad? I'd like something that won't take a ton of time to prepare because I have to make mini-cheesecakes for the little party we're also having Sunday night after our new pastor's installation service.
I wish we would get inserts in the mail as well as the paper. Don't you guys get a free hispanic edition paper mid week up there? I understand that has inserts in it too.

Yea, I was at Target yesterday. I think it is because I have no little kids, the toy clearance just doesn't appeal to me. But I did find cranium peelies and crayola ones yesterday. Skinimates ones too, those last ones were "evil" all facing the main aisle on the Irish Spring Body Wash. I mean you can only look at one.

We don't even get the early edition on Saturdays. I don't understand that, this is the 3rd largest city in FL. I know they get early edition in South FL and in the Orlando area I think.
