Daddy took him today and while he was apprehensive, he went in without a fight. I really think it has a lot to do with his separation anxiety issues with me. So we'll keep having Daddy take him for as long as is needed and then transition over to me. He even asked me to take him today and promised he wouldn't cry when I left, but as we know, kids can't be trusted!
Even if he is just 5, I kind of think that he is bored.

Ryland cried today too. It was heart wrenching. So I went to Target
I was thinking it would be easy and not as "busy" as the larger boards and Ryland knows his days of the week. So maybe on the days with no tears we can draw a big smiley face and Matt and the older boys can act thrilled when they see that Ryland didn't cry. Plus we can write great notes or things that the teacher said like "Ryland tried his turkey and cheese sandwich today" (which actually happened thanks to Sharon

His boss is super nice and a real family oriented man with young kids. He felt awful about having to let people go and he tried everything to keep him. He said it was one of the hardest things he had to do because they are actually friends. Nothing he could do, but he did give Matt some time (2 weeks) to find another job or apply for unemployment. He has 3 more people to let go...
I see your stories and my heart goes out to those of you laid off or with DH's laid off. It's one of those things that doesn't feel real until it happens to you.

Even if he is just 5, I kind of think that he is bored. Learning colors? I hardly think my DS is a genius, but he certainly knows his colors. He will be starting K next year when he is 5 and that will be his first school experience and if they are just learning colors, we too will have problems.

We have a chart that I got on clearance at Target for the same purpose. They are also sending home a smiley face chart from school each day so we'll know how he did.

They sell these rum cakes at certain Publix's by us. Not all of them though.
There are 3 different flavors and they are sooo yummy. If you have even been to the Bahamas, these are straight from there.
