This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Different store and different results. Cottonelle is good. Pounce and Alpo didn't prompt for price, just took off cheapest item.
That is so weird - meaning that one should only get the larger size Alpo in your order --- Confused

Hmmm - I am still puzzling over how this could really be legit ... ie let us say that the coupon in question was for a larger size & it autos to the lowest price .... that would not be what the Q was saying (and would require a super vigilant couponer to notice) yes I know WE are ... but I am talking about the average bear .... but then Target redeems it for the amount of the more expensive product?? It is like Mofo's scenario yesterday. If she had not noticed that the coupons were not deducting the cashier would have taken them & Target would have redeemed them --- but they were not applied. I am wondering how this will fly????

Oh Em Gee...I just noticed on my handy dandy receipt that that's what my Pounce did as well.

Now let's see if I can figger out why...
Cuz the Target's they are a-changing ....... Sadwalk

QQueen I think we need more of your positive thoughts!! I am sorry you are under the weather - feel better soon!!!!

Thrifty - I am so sorry it was a rough night! Sending BIG HUGS to Mum and hope LJ's appointment goes well!!!!

Did anyone buy the 2 poptarts and get the Lehigh Valley gallon of milk for free? Or, do you have to buy the MP milk to get it for free?

For those who don't venture into the deals thread any longer, I just posted this:

Just a heads-up that there is a TQ in the Chicago Tribune today, first section, page 3 or 4, for $2/1 GE Light Bulb package. Just shows a picture of a regular package of light bulbs. Expires 10/2/09 and does NOT include the "One coupon per transaction" language.

I'm really getting Cold about the T size updates!! I might have to turn into a S&Ger if this is the apocalypse!!

I'm glad he's on the other side of the country. Rolleyes 44 bags of salad just because you can, and then donate it. Donating is all fine, but how about the stuggling single mother who would love to buy salad for her children but cant because some greedy asshat just bought ALL 44 bags, just because he has a shopping problem. Soap Box Ranting

I get so tired of hearing about shelters and food banks, etc. etc. Sure, donate to them rather than let items in your pantry expire, but don't take affordable food out of struggling families mouths just because you have this urge to get as many free things as you can to 'donate', regardless of whether you need it or not. Families on tight budgets that use coupons deserve to find stock in the grocery store, and it makes it hard when some nin com poop goes in and buys 44 bags of salad just because it's free and it feeds his ego to find the deal.
