This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I am caught up on the Chit Chat for the week. Yeah!

Thrifty..So glad to hear LJ is gaining weight.

All the belated birthday wishes for the little Targeteers. Oh I am missing my kiddo so much. Pantry is getting full.

So my gosh..how time flies. I have no little ones starting kindergarten. But this January, kiddo will be in college and dd is in grad school. Have to call her tonight.

I am planning a Target run today. I hope I do good.

Last week was hard. Those dealer classes are actually getting easier. I have two ears now. Hee hee. Picked up ear mold on Monday. Mentally if I don't pass I will blame the hearing, Friday was a written test day. Test was mainly a math test. How much to pay out on various blackjacks and how much can a player insure their bet for. Plus a couple questions about terminology. I scored 100%.

Last week besides the classes and working two hours away from the classes...yes JCP is two hours north of the casino. There was Kmarts doubles to add in. So yesterday. Four Kmarts and 15 transactions later. I was out of the house the WHOLE day. First Kmart and the last Kmart are 1 1/2 hours apart in driving distance.

I wanted to mention taking care of "the girls" are extremely important. I do bra fittings at JCP and it is free and it is nice for change for someone to help you decide what is best for your body. Remember 80% of women wear the wrong bra size. Yes, at the store we used to track the size a women said she wore and what we fitted her in after.

It was on coupons.com, only certain zipcodes got it. And I think it's gone now, sorry!
Buckeyes made it too close for comfort today...there's going to be lots of yelling this season, I can see it already! :annoyed :

Once at Kmart and once somewhere else I found copied coupons sitting on the shelves. They are so obviously photocopied I just don't get it. Makes me mad too b/c they are messing with MY stores!

:nod : Agreed!

I went to Cheeseburger in Paradise for dinner tonight with a friend. I'm a big parrothead and they sent me a bogo coupon for my bday, so I figured it was a good time to try it (it was an hour drive). Attached a pic of my drink - woohoo! : cheers:

Anyways, there was a nice big Target nearby with the nice new carts that someone mentioned before (all plastic). I decided to have my way at this store and all went perfectly! Except the Glade Fabric and Air Odor Eliminator is definitely not TPC here $3.84, I just got it for $2.49 yesterday at another store!
But once again TQs rang up the normal way. I may take the boys out to the closest Target tomorrow (the one with the issues) and try a mild run just to see what happens. I'll let you all know how it goes!
ooooh, I mentioned the big new carts. They are like those Little Tykes shopping carts for kids but Target sized Whee I LOVE THEM!!! heart

I love Cheeseburger in Paradise and I know that particular drink well......Coverlaugh

:hug : That sucks. It feels like that here too. It must be a SFL thing...

Thanks, hun. :hug : I'm guessing the fraudulent usage of coupons are just going to keep going up. Coupled with the upcoming changes in 2010, couponing is not going to be the same! :shake :

EEK! I hope he's going to be ok!! hug Sending you best wishes!!
Nope. NWFL here. Maybe it's just an asshats all over the South problem? Smack Really, combine Publix's crazy high prices with their lack of coupon-friendliness, I rarely shop there and I was so excited when they opened their new store here Sadwalk

Oh, and can I just add that I want to Bonk some people in the deals thread?
What's going on over there? I rarely go there.....same old, same old?

I hope that trend doesn't come this way. What exactly are they doing? Not letting you use IP's or stack a Publix with a MQ? The store managers have some say, but corporate also has a policy I would think. Sometimes I think stores are all for the customers saving money, as long as they don't save too much.

I laughed when I ready that Drozee! That's like me and Wags - I was using candy bars as filler items, and it was showing in my waistline. I made a deal with myself that I'd buy myself a nice new purse if I didn't eat a candy bar for at least a week. I've got a thing for purses, so that was good motivation. Now I've got a cool new purse (rather large, perfect for tearpads Whistling ) Big Grin

I get a "bonus" for carrying multiples to term
It can be done! When I was pregnant with twins, back in the '80s, there were 3 other people around me who were carrying multiples (2 sets of twins, 1 set of triplets). I was the only one to carry one day to term; the next closest to term came six weeks early. I was very young (I delivered a few weeks before turning 22) and read all I could get my hands on - back then there wasn't very much. What I think were my two reasons for success:

1. Someone gave my name/number to a Lamaze coach. I got a call from her, and while we never met, she said she wanted to offer up some advice. That advice was to eat a lot of protein and of course veggies. She said that in her experience, diets low in protein led to premature births. So, I upped the protein. I didn't cook much, but ate out a lot. I frequented cafeterias where I could get fish and veggies (nowadays they tell you to limit fish, since our waters are so contaminated with toxins).

2. I had so many people praying for me. I had a lot stacked against me and was likely a candidate for a premature delivery/small babies. Even my Dr. stood at my bed, shaking his head. Moments before the delivery he told me I hadn't gained enough weight and that my babies would be under 4 lbs.; they were 5lbs 8 oz. & 5lbs. 10 oz. Hah!

Good luck with carrying to term.

And the best thing about these carts - THEY DON'T GET STUCK TO THE OTHER CARTS! Oh, and they turn on a dime. Big Grin

Well the "bonus" I get is for as long as they are born at 32 weeks or more...I think avg for twins is 36 weeks, my kids were born at 36 & 37 weeks. I am getting a doula too...I want a vaginal birth...no c-section for me...

ALL i have been craving (and all I can keep down) is protein. I drove home from target yesterday with one of their salads in my lap lol...i ate the meat, cheese, eggs, and tomatoes before I got home! That and chedder and sour cream ruffles are all I can eat! I feel vomit all the time...I am just really hoping there are only 2 in there and not 3...my numbers are sooooo high we are afraid one might have split.

Any great deals of the day? I am about to get a shower and run to T...
